I thought it might be fun to find out what type of music people listen to at the gym. List your favorite artist at the gym and why.

"Bricks"
We're setting the fires to light the way,
We're burning it all to begin again,
With hope in our hearts and bricks in our hands,
We sing for change.

 "Give It All"
We give it all, this is the reason why I sing,
So give it all, it's these reasons that belong to me

Today I offer all myself to this I'm living for my dying wish,
I give it all, now there's a reason, there's a reason, to give it all

I love these threads, they help me find new music for my ipod.

I'm strictly Hip Hop/Rap when working it out, its what gets me pumped... Here's a few in my heavy rotation:

50 - In Da Club

B.I.G. ft Diddy and Busta - Victory

50 - What up Gangsta

Nas - Got Ur Self A Gun

Nas ft. Bravehearts - Quick to Back Down

Fat Joe ft. Eminem and Mase - Lean Back (remix)

Jeezy - Corporate Thuggin'

Tupac - Ambitions Az a Ridda

Young Buck - Shorty Wanna Ride

Tony Yayo - So Seductive

Mobb Deep ft 112 - Hey Luv

G-Unit - My Buddy

Dr Dre - Dre Day

I got about 250 on my workout playlist.

Pretty much anything that has a beat I can run to (or makes me feel like dancing) works for me, but usually rock, rap, or a mixture of the two. I have a ton of music in general, but here's the first few of my current workout list:

Yeah Yeah Yeahs: Rockers to Swallow

Prince: Sexy M.F.

NAS: Can't Forget About You

Tool: Stinkfist

Black Eyed Peas: Bebot

E40: You and Dat

Wyclef Jean: We Trying To Stay Alive

Wolfmother: Pyramid

Mark Ronson: Oh My God (w/ Lily Allen)

Mims: This Is Why I Rock (Rock mix w/Purple Popcorn)

Jay-Z/Linkin Park: Numb/Encore

Fergie: Fergalicious

Eminem: Shake That

Cake: Comfort Eagle

Ol' Dirty Bastard: Shimmy Shimmy Ya

Us3: Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia)

Kanye West: Touch The Sky

I use noise cancelling headphones ... no music. This helps me focus on pushing out one more rep.
I have a play list with about 8 hours of music in it.  All of which is high pace, heavy bass, or all around fun songs.
JPop and JPunk. :D  It's peppy and gets me goin'.  And if I want to understand the lyrics, Happy Hardcre chapters.
Rise Against.... very nice choice :)
loud, pulsating techno.

Daft punk
paul oakenfold
Justice
M.I.A (not techno, but her beats are pulsating like whoa)
Basement Jaxx

If you ever find your cardio rhythm lacking, then I must highly recommend "Animal" by Nickelback.  Impossible not to move to the beat.

I usually watch MTV when working out in my livng room (stretching, stepper, karate). When I'm angry and go jogging, I normally listen to metalcore or some other aggressive music. When I jog just for pleasure, I listen to 8-bit music. All other times jogging it's jungle/drum and bass.

And no music at all when I'm on my bike, so noone runs me over :)
