I fell last night, I'm still laughing about it.  I ran out to my front porch, thought neighbor fell down her stairs, or one of her children. So I ran out to make sure that someone was ok.  I flew out the door like a superstar, took one step, my left leg shot straight out to the side forcing my right inside knee to hit the porch and then the rest of my body, well you know just fell as gracefully as it could.  I just laid there just expecting sheer pain, it just hurt.

I'm soooo surprised.   The way I fell, I should have busted some part of my knee or some connecting muscle.  I'm just a little sore.  I think its because of the squats.  Ridiculous I know, but if I weren't exercising or loving my squats, there is no way my big body would have been able to handle that stress.  Awesome.

I had a similar situation recently. I was walking into my apartment building (after leaving my body pump class) and slipped on some black ice, landed on my knee, and twisted my ankle. I had other injuries as well (elbows, tailbone, back..you get the picture) Well, I am happy to report that three weeks later I am back to my normal self. My doctor had suggested that I just take a week off, however that is not an option for me right now. I just did the elliptical trainer, and light weights.

I feel great! What a difference exercising can make before and durining the recovery process!
