When I'm at a healthy weight, I feel so ugly and unhappy and fat, but actually, I look the same when I'm underweight or at a healthy weight! Right now, I think I'm at a healthy weight but I'm not sure. What weight and body percentage should I be at?
Answer
The way you see your body, your body image, is influenced by your self-esteem, the value you place on yourself as a person. Low self-esteem can negatively impact every part of your life. Your self-worth could have been violated by experiences encountered at an early age. Or maybe you bought into an ideal set by the media’s images of women. The adequate weight range is between BMI 19 and 24.9 and a healthy range of body fat is between 14-21 percent for a girl.
