Weight -  58kg

Goal Weight - 53

I am 18 and a something years old, decided to change the way i look in March at 74kg. I am a very busy art student and love weight lifting and running, my only problem usually is psyching myself to get out that door, but once im out i give it my all. My goal is more of a body fat percentage one rather than weight, I don't care about the weight as much as i care about my health. Lately I have been slipping, I went from 55kg in October to the current 58kg however I am sure some of it was muscle gain since i have not gained so much inches.

My measurements are:

Height - 164cm

hips - 34
waist - 28
thigh - 22

Name: Cristina

Weight: 130 lbs / 59 kg, as of Dec 8 , 2008

Focus Goal Loss:

Goal Weight : 118 - 120 lbs / 54-55 kg

I'm Cristina and I've just turned 28. I'm married to the most wonderful guy in the world. We live in Romania. I'm a travel writer for a US company. I started to lose weight in Apr 2006 and I managed to changed my life completely and learn to be healthy and active and above all, HAPPY! I've been struggling to keep my weight under 125 lbs for a while and looks like for the past year I've been hovering between 128 and 130 lbs.

I'm barely 5'2" so my goal is 118-120 lbs. Hopefully eventually I'll be able to stay there not just have a brush wt the success...

If I can fit them or not. What a waste of cash. I've been losing weight for almost 2 years now, and I've lost 81 pounds, and I still got a little more to go. I'm in this to win it. Hello!  I'm a 25 year old College Student and a Soldier (overweight in the Army = not cool!)...  I'm studying Forensic Chemistry at Marshall University in Huntington, WV (which was just named the Fattest and most unhealthy place in the United States  http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27697364/.) I have 1 year left till I get my degree if all goes well!  I'm a Human Resourse Specalist in the Army Reserves, and I have 8 months left in the Army (if no deployments pop up.)  I also work on at the Center for Bioengineering and Biomanufacturing for Commercialization where I'm a lab technician.  So, I stay pretty busy.

My weight history...  I've been overweight my whole life.  In High School, I reached 260 and decided I had to lose weight, so I lost almost 100lbs, but in all the wrong ways.  I maintained under 200 when I was active duty Army for 4 years, but my weight has only gone up since being in the Reserves and in school.  But, I'm focused now and willing to do what it takes b/c I have to change my lifestyle.

Name: Tanya

Weight: 180

Focus Goal Weight: 140-150 lbs; ideally 147lbs, but I'd be happy with anything in that range

Goal Weight: 147 lbs

Height: 5'7"

Area: Thighs and stomach

Hi. I'm a 23 year old soon to be grad student. In January, I'll be moving from North Carolina to Austin where I'll be going to UT and getting a Masters in Middle Eastern Studies. I have recently returned from the Mauritania where I was in the Peace Corps for about 5 month.  I had to come back early due to bad side effects of malaria medication, but during my time there I dropped about 40 lbs, despite eating rice and oil for 2 meals a day with a cliff bar for breakfast (this was where the bulk of my protein came from).  When I came back to America, I decided to finally take control of my weight and started going to the gym and eating right.  I'm really excited that I found this challenge and can't wait to start.

Hello all, I had to add a few things I missed. I'm sorry for the mix up on dates, and the changes will be underlined.

Thank you, and please Remember... We start on The 15 with weigh ins.
Challenge 1 starts on the 22 early X- Mas JUMP.

Once again, I am so sorry for my mistakes.

i am really excited about this.

About me: I am 30 turning 31 at the end of this month. Last january i quit smoking and picked up running. i have a bunch of 5k's under my belt, some 10k's, 2 half marathons and i just finished my first marathon in nov!!! with all this training you would think i would be melting away the pounds, but i'm not. so i need to get more focused and do more cross training and just get toned after these pounds go. i am currently training for another marathon in march. i have a 3 year old son who is as crazy as any 3 year old can be, but he is amazing, and honestly really funny.

anyway, i just need to be more disciplined with myself. when i read this it seemed to be what i needed! i need regimine. good luck to all, hopefully this summer on the beach i will have a rockin body that i want to show off!!

Hi Ladies!

I have been looking for a serious challenge that is going to keep me motivated.  This looks great!  I really love the structure.

Name: Cristin

Highest Weight: 217

Current Weight: 198.6

Ultimate Goal Weight: 120

I know I probably can't get to my ultimate goal weight by the end of August but I will be pleased to just see the scale go down.

I actually lilke my legs so my target area is for sure my tummy.  My arms could use some work to get smaller and tone.  I love the way toned arms look on women.

A little about me...I live in New Mexico.  Right now I work in a different city that I live so I have a commute of an hour and 15 minutes each way.  Not fun!  Something I need to work on, I know.

I have had a lot  happen in the last few months that I am going to tap into for motivation.  I have had a lot of relationship drama with my "boyfriend" of over 2 years.  Not exactly sure what to call him these days.  As cheesy as it sounds I want to lose weight and get toned not only to be healthy but to show him what he will be missing out on if we do split up.  Working out has also been a great way for me to release my anger and stress about him.  Then if we do end up being ok, we have a boat and next spring/summer I want to be able to wear a bathing suit on the boat and not the shirt and shorts, you know?

Also, my dad just passed away.  He was one of the healthiest people I knew.  He was  always eating healthy and exercising.  I really miss him a lot so I am sure I will be getting out some of my emotions at the gym thinking about him too.

I am excited about getting to know you all better.  I think this will be a great challenge.

Have a great day ladies, talk to you soon!

Total Weight Loss:

Will take measurements this weekend.

yo, yo, yo......

i'm jadda..... better known as yella girl jay..... or Yella for short!

my starting weight back in august was 194!

i am currently weighing in at 182.75, but most days 183!

my goal weight is between 155 and 160!

haven't measured in a while, but the last time i did, my bust was a 36, waist a 35 and hips/thighs are a whopping 48...... needless to say my thighs and hips tend to be my trouble spots!

recently my weight loss has been very slow.... i tend to loose best when i really restrict my cals.... but i am trying to find a way to do this and comfortably lower cals and excercise..... so far i havent been as successful as i would like being that it has taken me four months to loose 10lbs! but i keep pushing forward as i know giving up will certainly not get me to where i want to be!!!!

so bring on the challenge.... let's do this yall!

4 more to go, and I really need those last 4 people to get in here before Monday. After Sunday- Night at mid night the 14. We will be closed... I'm waiting on my last member to join me from our other group. SO the welcome mat will be open just for her only once the doors are closed. She's on the list.

I hope the last 4 will join us soon. If not... We are going to work with what we got. I don't want to throw any one off with new people.

I know everyone needs help and support, but I must keep this group as small as possible with SEROIUS PEOPLE.

Thank you for joining us in this challenge.

WILL DO, MUST DO, CAN DO.....

You know I am in.  I will need to do measurements and all tonight and get back to you tomorrow with all of my technical info.  The challenges look FABULOUS...and, well, challenging.  Good luck to all; it is going to be a wild ride.

Well, we are almost full.

Karabsbg, Glad to see YOU, and thanks for asking for challenges.
Yella! Glad to see YOU. I added what you love in here. Stair Machine- to the 5k.
Bobev, Hope you enjoy the program.
Cricket! I hope you enjoy the add of the stepper- to the 5K 1500 steps = a mile Cry that looks painful. That many stepper steps.
Jenlynn, I hope you enjoy this group. I think you are going to be okay with us.

And for the rest of ya! Nice to meet everyone of you, and I will see you on MONDAY.

Hey Lynn

target: tummy, arse, waist & thighs.

I am in if it's not to late!!!  I have read everyone's introduction entry, that is all the motivation I needed, I want in.  A little about myself

I was introduce to the gym 3yrs ago by way of a challenge.  I was able to lose 45lbs over 5mths and crush the competition.  I maintained the majority of the weight off for 2yrs. From a size 9/10 to size "0". I am an avid gym goer, I recently discovered my love for running.  My ultimate goal is to run a mini marathon in the city. ( I live in nyc). Holly I have alot of ques. for you. (smile) Thanks to Lynn, she has always been my CC buddy and helped me along the way whether it was about sticking to the diet or just relationship advise.  I can tell you it helped me along the way to reach my goals.  I am 36 yr old female, I work for Bank Of America on the trading floor, so everyday is a good day if I didn't lose my job.  I am single and very social.  My strength is that I love the gym, my weakness, I love the single's bar more.  I have gained 18lbs and in all the wrong places, I need to get it off.  I have a class reunion coming up, and I am dating a very sexy firefighter.  I want him to see me at my best and most important I want to eat and live healthy.  So let the games begin............

It doesn't matter whether your trying to lose 50lbs or 5lbs, trust the struggle is all the same.  So with you guys I hope to be back in my bikini by May.

I usually take 1500 steps in abt 15 min...so that's not very fast but not that bad... lol

the stepper counts 1 step as two movements (up&down) so I think on a pedometer it would have been 3000 steps in 15 min lol

Cricket, I'm so glad you got that down pat, because I never would have thought about it. I hope I got everyone taken care of.

Okay group. I'm looking for 3 more.SmileSmileSmile

Welcome Ctara I'm glad you are here. Get ready girl. We are going for the goal.

Everyone- This is 8 months here.. Lets make this count.

Never say I can't, and Never say.. Can't do, because you can do your best.

Even those who use pedometers can easily be part of the challenge :)

Thanks for adding the stepper, btw.
