What I am going to do for myself....
I would like to wear all kinds of things, but I always end up in jeans and a tee OR, on super special days, my 1 nice pair of pants with a flirty top and modestly fixed hair.
But honestly, who has time to plan all these outfits??? I have enough trouble shoving breakfast down my throat and rushing out of the door dragging a comb through my hair. First you have to BUY them, then you have to PLAN them around your schedule, then you have to physically PUT THEM TOGETHER. It's horrible! @_@
The worst thing is, if people get used to you dressing 'nice' all the time, when you happen to throw on a pair of jeans and a random shirt you look like a slob.
I try to buy things in all corresponding colors (usually solids) so that nice clothes tops match bottoms.
But seriously, who am I kidding? I'm a college student and half of the time I don't even shower until mid-afternoon.
Well, jeans are fashion too. When you get to goal, invest in the best freakin' pair of jeans you've ever had, and don't sweat the cost (well, too much). Don't pass over the Lucky's, Lauren's or Sevens - try on everything regardless of price so you know you get what shows off the bod you've worked so hard to get.
Pair it with some killer boots or pumps, a nice casual blouse or Tshirt (yes, there are nice ones that dress up real easy), throw a cool contrasting color or tweed fitted jacket over it, and you're ready to rock.
If you're prepared to spend money, don't spend it on something that isn't truly you. If you're a jeans and tshirt girl, there's nothing wrong with doing it in style and showing it off.

but then again, i wouldn't be able to get away with wearing outfits that only popular people wear. it's highschool, people are cruel.
Well, part of being able to pull off any outfit, high fashion or not, is attitude. If you don't think you look good and belong in it, it is noticable. Be sure how you want to look is by what you want, not by how other people think you should be.
Yeah, it's easier for me to say this so many years removed from high school - I do know that high schoolers are incredibly cruel, and tend to judge you on everything. All I can do is say that others can only define you and bring you down if you let them - I learned that a little too late (not until after high school).
I have time to shop now and watch the sales. When my kids were little, I didn't have many clothes, but didn't care, or ever think about it......priorities were elsewhere.
