natural peanut butter

Quote  |  Reply

I recently freaked out about the fully hydrogenated oil in "normal" peanut butter. Anyone have a suggestion for good-tasting and healthy natural peanut butter?

honestly, any peanut butter you find in the organic food section of your grocery store will be healthy, natural and will most likely taste good.

think about it, if you like peanuts, why wouldn't you like any all natural peanut butter you try? peanuts are almost always the only ingredient :)

Maranatha Organic No-Stir peanut butter is amazing.  It does have cane sugar and salt in addition to just peanuts, though (which I love...mmm).

365 Organic Creamy Peanut Butter... just peanuts and salt! Soooo gooodd.

I got it at whole foods.

For the record, there was a kind I got at stop and shop once that I hated, don't remember what it was called though.

I second that!  I prefer crunchy, but the creamy is AMAZING, too!  It's like you're actually eating crushed, creamy peanuts!  It's not like you're eating a peanut-flavored spread.

Get this.  Seriously.

Yes, I agree with the Smuckers.  You do have to stir it, but its really good and a lot healthier than regualar peanut butters.

Skippy Natural!  Yummy!  I have it every day.  It comes in crunchy and creamy.

All you really want in peanut butter is peanuts and a little salt. Smuckers natural has NO hydrogenated, partially hydrogenated, or non-peanutty oils in it and it tastes great.... so what if you have to stir the jar up when you open it - that takes all of sixty seconds and if you store the peanutbutter in the fridge you don't have to do it again. Not all 'organic' peanut butters are unadulterated - palm oil and sugar still count as 'natural' but they're totally unnecessary additives. (I was very disappointed that the 'Skippy natural' peanut butter has both in it.)

I recently bought Adams 100% natural.  It has peanuts and salt in it.  I add a tad of Splenda to it to give it a little sweet flavor.  I know when I do that I defeat the purpose of it being natural but it sure tastes yummy!!

We use "Teddie" brand and love it.  One note - when I first switched from Skippy, this didn't seem quite sweet enough to me, so I sprinkled the smallest amount of cinnamon sugar (in those shaker containers).  Every time I ate it, I used less, and before I was through the first jar, I was totally adjusted.

I eat smuckers natural. (: It tastes really good.

mmmm I LOVE peanut butter... I'd munch on it alllll day if I could lol

I just had two pieces of Oroweat double fiber whole wheat toast and 2 Tbs of Maranatha natural crunchy peanut butter. A real treat and no more calories than my usual cereal and fruit. My husband had his peanut butter--more than me--on a toasted bagel. He can eat more since he's 6'. In the past I was eating the same quantities that he was eating. And, at 5'7", I weighed as much as him too. I've seen the error of my ways! However, I still get my peanut butter.

I get President's Choice Blue Menu "Just Peanuts" (and "Just Almonds", which is even better, but it's also a trigger food for me). The only ingredient is peanuts (or almonds). So sugar, no salt, no other oils - just plain peanuts.

I just throw a handfull of salted peanuts in a food processor and I have pure, natural peanut butter for weeks. it's cheaper too.
