5'1 & near 160lbs...

Hi, I'm Nicole. I'm 21 and started calorie count on May 19th and it has really opened my eyes about what my caloric intake is, and how important it is to burn off those calories every day. I'm trying to get my weight down at least 30lbs but genetically, I am very discouraged because of my natural body type. I have muscular legs, relatively thin arms, and some extra baggage around the middle. I'd really like to thin out my mid-section and tone my arms and I started running/exercising daily about a week and a half ago and have noticed a difference. I want to buy a scale but I'm not sure if I shoudl buy a digital scale or analog scale. Thoughts? I am afraid that there will be a point where I will stop losing weight and I will never reach my goal. What is the best website, from personal experience, for ab workouts that does not involve crunches? Also, how should I go about losing the jiggle in my arms? Is riding a bike more effective than running? What about running with free weights, 2lb or so?

Thank you so much for your input! I'm new at this healthy business, but I'm really digging it.

Hi, I'm Gerrika. I'm 21 as well. I just had a baby about two months ago and ready to loss this baby fat.  I started off losing weight fine but after the first month I gradually started gaining it back. I am not really sure about the other stuff but I have been told that digital scals are more accurate.

Hi! Congratulations on your new baby! I have no experience with losing baby weight as I have no children, but I'm sure just sticking to a routine that challenges all areas that you're trying to shed some weight will work best. Perhaps after a month your body was used to the work out you were doing and hit a plateau. Spice it up a bit with free weights or chaning the pace of your work out. Best of wishes!
