I need accountability! Been off Track.. Need to get back on

Quote  |  Reply
I have totally been getting off track in the evenings and have been having a horrible time staying on track! Does anyone else have a hard time in the evenings?!?! I do so good all day and work out after work but when i get home i always cave in. I've been trying to keep my eating clean with all natural foods but its been a struggle for me lately!!! Anyone want to help each other stay accountable with me?

I completely understand where you are coming from.  My biggest frustrations that I am approaching are the various days that I will be eating out the next few days.  I really struggle with mandatory lunches at work; which include Mexican and the like.  I love Mexican which makes it even harder to make the right choices. If I really think it through I can do this; but it's so easy to not make the right choice.

I'm in the same boat.  I do well all day, come home from work and I totally blow it!  I'm not sure why that time of the day is difficult for me.  I could eat 1000 calories without even thinking about it!  I hope someone can shed some light on this.  Does anyone know why women are more susceptible to binging in the evenings?

i have no idea at all why we binge like this... it is so discouraging because i know we are stronger that that... we are strong enough to make it to the end of the day we should be able to finish the day being healthy! Tomorrow is a new start for me though... i know i can be healthy for a full 24 hours lol!

I always used to eat so much food later on in the evenings after I had had dinner... my trick was to bruch my teeth directly after finishing dinner. It either takes away the desire to eat completely or I am too lazy to be bothered brushing my teeth again (:

I think eating in the evening is a habit.  I'm the opposite, I'm bored at work and munch on rubbish - I know this is a habit.  Once I get home I have my dinner, maybe some fruit and a glass or two of wine occassionally, then I'm done for the day.

Someone once said that supermodels go to bed hungry every night and I remember that if I've got a hunger pang at night.

Another tip is to go to earloy bed when you get a craving!  Or try having health munchies in for your evening snacking.

One trick I use when I find myself going over a lot or going days without tracking is to 'pre-log' my foods.  I look around my kitchen and plan my whole next day of food to within my set limits.  Trust me, you will eat as closely as you can to that because it's a pain in the butt to erase and add a whole new days worth! :)  Also, for that late night hunger pang that I just can't get rid of, I either eat a no sugar added del monte peach cup or a fudge bar.  The peach cup is only 25 cals and the fudge bar is only 100.  Depends on where I'm at calorie wise but it's a good way to end the day on dessert!

So Cathys267, let us know how you do this evening.   We'll all be accountable together!
