How much do I need to add to my activity log?
Do I add basics like washing dishes and walking to school,, how about even walking from room to room?
How much do you put?
Im set as lightly active if it means anything... thanks in advance! =)
I usually only add intended exercise to my log. Although, I guess if you walk to school for 20 minutes that would be considered exercise because you are burning calories. I would add it and see how it affects your readings on the analysis.
If you're set to lightly active, that includes all your housework, child/pet chasing and general walking.
I only add my workouts and other semi intense activities. But I'd prefer to underestimate than overestimate on the activity log. If you don't add every little thing that you do you're less likely to overestimate actual calories burned.
I have set myself up as "sedentary" as my activity level (work/transport wise i sit 60 hours on average per week), so the way I understand it, that includes no actitivy as such other than just exisiting.
I therefore put in the following:
- personal grooming
- groceries; carriying it upstairs (I live on the 4th floor, no lift)
- cleaning (clothing/dishes)
- cooking (when I remember to add it, somehow I tend to forget this one)
- walking (any type of outdoor walking, such as to work/home; etc)
- biking
- shopping.
I do not put this in: sexual activity, walking from room to room, toilet visits etc.
I find adding information like that too obsessive.
