Need Advice/Knowledge Please...

Okay So, i recently gave in and bought a Body bugg out of interest in the whole thing. i have been wearing it religously, but i feel like it is underestimating my count. for example. today i walked up and down hills to my classes then did 90 minutes of intense elliptical, then 30 minutes on a bike, my total for the day is 2000 calories.... what! could that be right, and i was just hoping/overestimating before?

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. :D

Anyone?

that's 2000 calories burned...from activity. the internal organs are working and your body is using calories to survive...regardless of the burn on the body bugg...typically the non-exercise activities that we do account for roughly 60% of our daily calorie burn, which you don't see on the body bugg. So, to burn 2000 calories in a day is insane, typically people shoot for a burn of 500 calories from exercise and 500 deficit in their diet, which equals out to a 2 pound weight loss. so, you probably burned about 1200 in addition to that just from your body working. i hope this makes sense :)

Actually the bodybugg is supposed to account for day to day living calories as well.

thanks though.

anyone else?

interesting...i read that the bodybugg measures according to perspiration and body temp...which is why i didnt think it accounted for the internal workings. sorry, beats me :(

Yeah. that would have been a miracle to burn 2000 just from exercise!

*Bump*
