I need advice and luck!
For years now I have been suffering from various symptoms related to anxiety/panic disorders. They, my dr's, had me convinced I was losing my freaking mind. I lived with this for years.
I posted a week ago that I came across a thyroid quiz. It popped up, I was never looking into anything, never thought to. It came back 85% chance I have an issue with my thyroid. No way I thought. So over the past couple days I been toolin around with the idea and investigated. Not only are the symptoms that I have been complaining about for years to my doctor about are symptoms of underactive thyroid, but other symptoms that I have merely written off are part of it too.
The one the hit home was loss/brittleness of hair and loss of ends of eyebrows. I was just complaining to my sister 2 weeks ago because we were getting nails done and she was having her brows done asking me what happened to mine, they used to be so beautiful. They are falling out! Among other things. Sadly when I switched drs. the first thing he asked was did you ever have a thyroid test, I told him no and it never developed.
I wrote a list for the doc of symptoms I've been complaining about and the ones that I've disregarded and accepted them as coming of age I guess. I just wanted to put this out there, I will keep updates, especially for those who ever wondered if they possibly have a problem because this never crossed my mind and I always felt it was an excuse, and now......I feel real flippin stupid.
I hope you look into this. Drs are so prone to write people off as depressed!!
