need advice!!! just starting my new healthy lifestyle

Hello Everyone!

I've been a member of this sight for a few months now but just recently have really made my commitment to making a healthier lifestyle.

I'm a little confused about how many calories I should eat in one day. I've been to a few different sights and they all give me different information.

Currently I weight between 128-132lbs. I am 5'6'' and am really looking to only loose a few pounds. Mostly I just want to really tone up and feel good about myself and my eating habits. I don't exercize much at the moment... but my husband and I are looking into getting an elliptical within this next week.

Anyone who has suggestions about how many calories, how much protein/fat/carbs I should be eating once I start exercizing more would be great!! I'm planning to use the elliptical for an hour 5-6 days a week and do strength training or pallaties on alternating days.

Thanks so much!!! I'm getting really excited and any help would be MUCH appreciated!!!

I feel the same, as far as I only want to lose and few pounds.....i am 160 and 5' 8 ' it would be nice to lose a dress size but i am by no means over weight. but i too am just starting to really eat healthy. maybe we can help suport eachother!

I would love to!!! Extra support is always a big help. I feel like before I was eating too little calories...but all of just plain junk food. Not really chips and soda, but just...cheese fries and lots of butter and ice cream hahaha. I'm the kinda of person that if i'm going to do something..i have to go all the way. I cant slowly ease into new things. But before I start I really want to make sure I'm doing it right!

Anyways!!! I'd love to support eachother! If you want to send me a message, i'll commit to login my food and workouts with total honesty. Whatever your up to! Also, if anyone else wants to join in that would be awesome!
