I need to get back on track.
But I'm totally SUCKING. I cannot stop eating bad for me foods (Nutella is the worst, and it was my birthday today so now I've got cake around >.<) and the worst part is that I'm not even enjoying eating them that much. I just feel like I'm eating too much too often but I cannot figure out how to stop it and start integrating my healthy foods again. Any motivation/advice?
I'm doing much the same thing at the moment. But I've decided I'm going to stop. To do that I've set a date, not like 'tommorow!' or 'tonight!' but in a weeks time. between here and then I will slide back onto the right track instead of doing it cold turkey.
And maybe try and challenge yourself to give up nutella for a week, and set another date where you'll let yourself have a nutella lunch if you've been successful for a week!
Whilst it may feel like 'well I've stuffed up, doesn't matter if I stuff up more,' remember you will never gain from just one binge, but if the habit persists you will.
Good luck!!
I was like that, completely off track. The first thing I did was get rid of the temptation, I got rid of all the bad junk food I had.
It was slightly liberating. And believe me, I had just gone shopping the day before, I had some gooood junk food.
Thank you both! I like both of those ideas-- especially about giving up Nutella for a week and easing into it instead of just going cold turkey. That seems like a better way to not fail =)
And I'd love to throw away the junk food-- for sure that ice cream is going away-- but my parents wouldnt be thrilled if I got rid of the cake haha. So I guess one will stay but the other will goooo.
happy birthday!
i don't even know what nutella is, i just see it on these boards so often.. i have a feeling i do not need to find out what it is.
Thank you! =)
And nutella is a DELICIOUS chocolate hazelnut spread that is really tasty on bread, fruit, directly off the spoon, on brownies and banana bread and especially tasty on graham crackers. It isss a recipe for disaster for me haha.
Edit: If you like chocolate dont buy it. haha.
You have to remember that you can eat anything - you just need to find balance. I know this is going to sound weird, but I make deals with myself. I can have two graham crackers with nutella as a snack if I pair it with an apple....it's a great snack by the way.
I can have cake at the end of a healthy day of fresh vegetables and lean protein...a great reward for sticking to the good stuff!
It's all about balance...calories in/calories out...but also...good for me food/food I really want!
hey there! Don't get too down on yourself cause i'm doing the same thing! just eating even though im not enjoying it.. urgh! And nutella is most defnintly a weakness.. straight out of the jar with a spoon and a jar of peanut butter and a tub of icecream.... so good! but truthfully the amount of icecream ive eaten today i feel like i never want to eat it again! i wish that feelng could stay. haha
I was doing so good last week i hate that now i 've completley fallen off the wagon.. so tomrw I am going to detox to try and get all the crap out of my system! really cold turkey get back on track. i always feel thats the best way to totally get back on track and fully give myself a boost!
good luck to you too. You can do it!
