Hi JennyN. I am also looking for a buddy for encouragement. Maybe we can help each other! My name is Demrie and I'm at 220. I want to get down to 160 by this next summer when my family goes to Disneyland. What's your weight and goal weight?

I'm looking for a buddy, too! I'm right now at about 165 and I want to get down to 130 -- hopefully by this summer. I have a pretty stressful life, as I work from home with two very small children. I get next to no sleep and I overeat constantly. Oh, and I have horrible sweet tooth that I'm almost powerless against.
I've found that making daily goals instead of weekly or monthly goals works better for me. It would be great to have someone that would help me keep on task by telling me how great they are doing. I need some tough love -- someone who will push me to reach my goals.

I just started (again) on cc today. I would love to chat and exchange emails on the road to success. Congrats on your 2.5 pounds!
I am an occasional binger so you'll hear some of that struggle and deadlocked at 7-10 pounds that won't come off. It's not that I'm shooting for the wrong weight, it's that I give in to stress, sadness, frustration, etc, with food. So I lose 3, gain 4, and so on and so on.
What are your goals? What type of exercise do you like to do?
Anyway, feel free to add me as a friend, I'll add you to my list.

As far as excercise...I rarely like doing it. But don't we all. I am going to give the Feb challenage a try. An even if it is walking each day, that will be better then nothing, like I have been doing.
Feel free to email any time. My email is in my Profile. I am also going to try and get my journal started on here. I think it will keep me moving as well.

I'm 30, 5'7" and I started my diet 2 weeks ago, when I weighed 244. At today's weigh-in I was 238. My goal is 160 and I hope to do that in a year or so. I would LOVE it it happened for Xmas ;)

But 2 weeks ago I started using my stationary bike. At first I couldn't even do 5 minutes. Now, I'm up to 25 minutes and it feels GREAT and most of all, I'm PROUD of myself!
