Need a buddy... looking to lose 20 pounds

Hello my name is Ashley, I am 22 years old from PA.  I am currently in college and am graduating next spring.  I would really like to lose 20 pounds before the school year starts back up and I am planning on moving to Arizona for grad school next year so I would love to find someone motivated to lose about 20 pounds as well and who would be willing to keep in touch on a long term basis so we can monitor one another and motivate each other to continue to stay healthy.  I weigh about 165 right now and would like to weight 145.  I am in a wedding in August in Cali and really want to look good.  If you're interested drop a line.  I think weekly weigh-ins are a great motivational factor.

Hi! My name is Lydia, I'm also 22 year's old. I would also love to lose 20 pounds. I'm 5'5 152 pounds. So count me in i would love to have a buddy I just started cc and look forward to the weight loss. And count me in for the weekly weigh-ins. We should start on Monday with the weigh-ins. A little about myself I'm for Texas but am temporarily living in Kentucky for a job my husband got here, so I'm hoping that but the time we leave I go back to Texas I'll go back a slimmer me. I also started this exercise program called Kettllenetics Slim and Tone and will use it 5. and am on a 1200-1300 calories a day. I never knew how out of shape I was until I started working out lol. Well hope to hear from you.Smile

Hello Ashley and Lydia!!

My name is Yady, I live in California but I'm currently in Chile completing my second and last semester here.  I am trying to lose about 20 pounds too, I currently weight (as of Monday) 147 lbs.  I have been using CC for about 10 days so hopefully that has helped me (although I had an awful day today with food because my friend had a good bye party).

I am in for the weekly weigh in, I usually weigh myself every Monday already.

What else can I say?  I want to lose over 20 lbs, but I set it all up in smaller goals.  Right now, I want to reach the 145, then 140 and so on.. just to keep myself motivated and feel I reach my goals.

Ashley, where in CA will you be attending the wedding?

My name is Hannah, I am 26...I am from Germany. I spent 5.5 years in Arkansas, for school and work, and that is where I met my (Texan) husband...we just moved back to Germany in January.  I started CC in May at 5'7 and about 162lbs (73kg). I fell off the wagon for about 3 weeks because I got really sick.. but have been back for about 2 weeks now...I am at 151lbs (69kg) now, and would like to reach 132lbs (the weight I was at when I moved to AR) in the long run...but first comes 145lbs...then 140lbs...etc!

my name is christine, I am 22 almost 23 (june 29th). and I am currently 168... (we have no scale in the house but that was what I weighted in last time and I havent had any changes in body size). I had a baby in oct. and by oct I would like to be 145 or better yet 135. and I also have my brothers wedding in aug. I am from ny. I mostly go by size to gauge where my weight should be. I am currently a size 12 in pants and 10 in dresses. I used to be a size 6/8 in pants and a size 2/4 in dresses. I would like to be back there some time before my daughter turns 1... I am estimating that I need to be 135 to be back at a size 6.. I am hoping that my cloths will fit me soon. I would love to be apart of a group on here with the same goals as me! SO COUNT ME IN!!!!

Hi Girls!

My name is Julia and I am 25, but turn 26 soon (at the end of this week). Just like Hannah I am from Germany Smile About a year and a half ago I was 139lbs (63kg) and 5'8. Now I am still 5'8, but unfortunately put on about 30lbs in that time. I think it all started when me and my boyfriend moved in together, but anyway...I started CC about 2 months ago and am at 160lbs (73kg) now. This is my first time posting something, but I really feel like I need some motivation now. My bog goal is to be at 140 lbs. So, I guess that's it for now!

Hey girls I am glad to see there are so many of you interested in the weigh ins and buddying up! I think Monday weigh-ins are a great idea.  So if everyone wants to just post their weights on Monday and maybe try to post once or twice throughout the week I think it would be a great motivational tool.  I noticed we are almost all around the same size which is pretty interesting.  I hope we can all lose those 20+ pounds that are holding us back from wearing that sexy little dress in the back our closets hehe.  I'm not sure how this site works exactly because this is my first week but I think it would be fun to post pics of progress as well if that's possible.  Let me know what everyone thinks... can't wait to reach our goals together!

 

 Yady... the wedding I am attending is in southern Cali I can not remember the town but once I figure it out I will let you know.

I will be weigh in tomorrow and posting it here.  I like the picture idea, would it be a full body picture?  Haha I have a round face so I don't think that will go away no matter what I do.

Ashley I will be moving back to San Diego sometime in August (don't have a place to live yet).

Hannah, thanks and nice to meet you!  So, we are aiming for the same weight, but I agree with you, lets first get to 145!!

Christine, congratulations on your baby!! I think I have never been a size 6 in my life so I don't expect to be one now.  My body type won't let me be anything smaller than an 8, so that will be fine with me.

Julia, haha that was funny.. you are still 5.8!  Do you find youself eating the same portions as your bf or why do you think it has something to do with it?

Hi Everyone! Its Monday and I'm not so happy. During the week i had lost a pound only to gain it back :(. Yesterday wasn't a good day but I'm hoping to have a great week and next Monday will be a different story. I hope everyone else had a better Monday and hope we all get rid of those 20 pounds.

Hey ladies!!

Well:

Today's weigh in: 65.2 kg (around 143.7 lbs)

Next goal: 140 lbs

I was a little concerned though because I read that we should lose no more than 2 lbs p/week.  I am eating within my 1200-1400 calorie limit.  My only exercise is all the walking I do since I cannot afford a gym and working out at home is hard.  I am happy with losing it but don't want to do it too fast if it's unhealthy.

Breakast::

100 ml lactose free-skimmed mil

30 g Fiber Max

OR

1 cup oatmeal with 1 large banana

Sometimes I have this for dinner when I had a huge lunch

Snacks:

1 cereal bar

A fruit

Veggies (cauliflower and broccoli are very low on calories and high in fiber)

1 serving of chocolate (whatever I find)

1 ice pop

This pretty much I eat anything, just keep it limited

 

So, what suggestions do you ladies have?  Maybe we can help each other by suggesting foods.

Well it is Monday and weigh in..isn't it??? BLAH...I am going to post 2 weights because Sunday: 68.6kg (bare with me on the kilos conversion PLEASE) ...

Today:70.6 kg....I know, I know...it is water, it is normal fluctuation etc etc...BUT it still doesn't feel so great!

As for food today I was bad, as in I did not eat most of the day....I had a minor case of food poisoning this weekend, and just wasn't up to food quite yet....So, I guess this is kind of a bad week to start posting, but it is all part of it right?!?!

I went for an hour (maybe a bit more) walk today....I was going to jog, spring, walk...but there was the pain that just did not agree with it...but at least I did that!

I post my weight in kilos as well (it's just so much easier for me), I hope ya'all don't mind, let me know otherwise ;-)

SW: 77kg

CW: 73.3kg (I gained .3 kg...again...sometimes this just isn't that much fun)

GW: 65kg

Well, it's a start. I'm glad we are all in this together.

Yady: To answer your question about why I think my bf is almost completely to blame for this mess: he is used to eating huge dinners and just something small for lunch. I used to do it the other way around, but he kind of charmed me into having big dinners with him. From there the weight just started to grow. And his love for junkfood probably didn't help either.

Hannah: Food poisoning? How did that happen? I hope you are okay again. And it's probably best that you didn't push yourself to hard today during your exercise.

Food poisoning...came from this potluck where I ate chicken...just ate a HUGE piece when a friend was like "Ugghhh Hannah, I think the chicken isn't done" I looked down and it was bloody! Yikes....

Does anybody else adore Weetabix??? I do...it's what I typically eat in the morning...I think I like it because of the little amount of milk....
