Need a buddy... looking to lose 20 pounds

Quote  |  Reply

Hello my name is Ashley, I am 22 years old from PA.  I am currently in college and am graduating next spring.  I would really like to lose 20 pounds before the school year starts back up and I am planning on moving to Arizona for grad school next year so I would love to find someone motivated to lose about 20 pounds as well and who would be willing to keep in touch on a long term basis so we can monitor one another and motivate each other to continue to stay healthy.  I weigh about 165 right now and would like to weight 145.  I am in a wedding in August in Cali and really want to look good.  If you're interested drop a line.  I think weekly weigh-ins are a great motivational factor.

Hello to all these beautiful ladies!!

I will start by saying.. hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend!  They don't celebrate here so I didn't have to go through all that hard moments.. although, I had a really bad food day because they 'threw me' a goodbay party.

Julia, I am from California but I am currently living in Valparaiso, Chile.  Well, that will be until tomorrow, when I fly back home.

So, here it is:

Current weight: 63.8 Kg (between 140-141 lbs).

Short term goal: 140

Next goal: 135

Keep up the good work and I am sure everything will come back to normal for everyone this week!! Wink

Sorry, I am late. But last week my life kind of turned upside down. But anyways, I haven't really been working out or eating right since thursday. Somehow I still managed to lose weight...

SW: 77kg

CW: 72kg (so half a kilo in a week)

Hope everybody is doing great and keep up the good work! What happened to Hannah?

hI,

I am also trying to lose 20-30lbs I started CC on 06/22 and it has helped me a lot. It really keeps me on track. I think monthly weigh-ins are and excellent idea I do it on friday mornings, so if anyone wants to join me that will be great.

hi Ladies, Just checking in...

I havnt done much latly, which is bad been busy and stressed but I finally figured out my problem... dinner! I have a new plan to take what I would normally eat for dinner and before I start eating put half of it in a container in the fridge! out of sight out of mind, also lunch! but more than anything my portions for dinner are way too big, I bairly snack at night (maybe once every other week) but I binge and eat everything  possible for dinner. so I am trying something new! Wish me luck ladies!

Laughing I am still here...was just sick at home without a PC for 1 week...I haven't stepped on the scale, but will update everybody tomorrow or maybe I will wait a week because I know I will have gained!!

Life has been crazy crazy....so bare with me while I try to catch up!!

 Julia everything alright?

Yay, Lydia! 2 lbs in 1 week. Me too! It feels great, doesn't it?. It has been a long time since I have experienced this. It is also so relieving to finally break through the 130's. It really seemed like it would never happen and now that it has it is so motivating to push harder and reach my goal as fast as possible.

sw: 165

cw: 128 (-2 since last monday)

gw: 115

I hope everyone else is still holding strong! Know that the feeling of success is sooooo much better then the taste of any food. I like this motto: Food as fuel, not fun. :-) Have an awesome week everyone!!!

I started this CC in the beinging of the year and kind of fell off. I did weight more when I started, around 176 lbs I think. My short term goal is 155 lbs.

Hi Girls! I am back, sorry I didn't post for some time, but I had to sort some things out having to do with my work life :-( So, first of all, weigh in time:

SW: 77kg

CW: 70.7kg (-1.3kg... that is about 2.9lbs... so yeah Laughing)

GW: 65kg

Hannah, I hope you are feeling alright again? Don't be too upset about putting weight back on, being ill and all is something serious you can't really help. Let me know how you are doing!

Stefanie and Lydia: GREAT JOB!!! I am glad that it's working out for you so well!

And hello Mariaalicia, welcome to the group!

I am pretty short, 5'3, and have a very petite frame. I am 25 years old. Even at my current weight of 128, there are a lot of areas on my body that (to me) are still noticeably imperfect. Even though I have lost a lot and 128 seems like a low number in the grand scheme of things I do still have a long way to go. I know it took me 5 + years to gain all this weight and my body radically changed in the process, so to get it back, it is months I have been working on it so fagoing to take a lot longer then the 4 r. It is promising to see such quick results but I have lots of work to still do and thats ok.

This morning I woke up at 5 am to go to Pilates at my gym at 5:45. I am no stranger to waking up early for exercise but I still can't get used to it. I went to a morning boot camp at 6 am 3x a week for the past 2 months but recently decided to change it up as the class was no longer challenging and I was the most fit person in the class. I really liked the pilates except they played really slow, relaxing music and it is 5:45 in the morning so naturally I wanted to just go to sleep. It was a little bit my own fault though because I got home late last night so I barely slept for 4 hrs. It was an hour long class that, while difficult, didn't make me sweat so I jumped on the elliptical for 20 min afterwards to burn some extra calories. While I am really tired right now at my desk, I feel proud of myself for getting up and doing it. I bought a tiny yellow bikini online a few days ago and it came in the mail yesterday so that has also added some extra motivation to exercise and keep eating right so I can look great in it. Laughing

Have a good day everyone! Stay on track!

Thats great Stefanie! Im not a very good morning person but if I have to I wake up. The reason I asked your height is because at one point I weighed 128 and people would tell me I looked to skinny and Im 5'5. I did the same but instead of a bikini I bought a pair of shorts that where just too small. That way I keep on track and always have in mind that i have to fit in to them.

Julia so glad to hear from you. Congrats with your 3lbs! Thats awesome!Laughing

Maria Alicia welcome to the group and hope you come back on Monday!

Everyone have a great week! I heard someone say this and it makes a lot of sense "What matters is what you do 75% of the time not what you do 25% of the time"!

Smile

Hi ladies...good to read that everyone is doing great!

Maria Alicia welcome to our group!

Stefanie, Lydia, and Julia congrats!!!

Yady, did you make it home safe?

Ok, so I will be off the radar next week (at least I am anticipating). I am off work, and my husband's friend and his wife are coming from the States. We'll be in Paris for 2 days, and going around Germany the rest of the time....yeah, Europe in one week! Anyways, there will be TONS of eating out, little working out, but a lot of walking (showing castles, churches, etc)....anyways, so I am posting my weight today:

SW: 73kg - 160ish

CW: 71,6kg - 158ish

GW: 60kg - 130ish

So I am starting to move in the right direction but pheeeew...it has been a struggle! Anyways, you ladies have a good weekend and week!

Christine and Ashley seem to have disappeared??

Hi all! This is such a great forum. My name is Kay (call me K)s and I am from Canada( I was living in London but have recently come back). I am trying to lose 20 pounds. I am 5'9 weigh 175, and am looking to be in an around 145 - 155. I ve lost a lot of weight in the past ( which I have kept off) but have never been able to get of the final pounds so I figured I am turning thirty soon and I don't want this to follow me into the next part of my life:) Its nice to talk with people often and hear how everyone else is doing. So wish me luck and hope that we will all make it happen!

Cheers.

K
