Need to complain....

Quote  |  Reply

Hey there-

Just posted this to complain a little. I have no one here to vent to...

Started the floor part of the reno today and its SOOOO loud!!! I work from home and its just insane.. I can barely think straight. I wanted to be home for my kitty who is terrified and hiding scrunched up under the bed... poor girl.

I didn't get time for a workout yesterday but I did garden for half an hour and also went for a 20 min bike ride to the local farmers market.

Tonight I have baseball practice at 7, game at 8:15- so that'll tire me out! I'm interested to see (after I get an HRM) how many cals I burn during a game- I'm always super sweaty and out of breath- I try to give it 200%!

Seems like I am only able to nicely fit in two wicked workouts a week. Tues and Thurs are my days. I do HIIT after both workouts.

Do you think this paired with baseball practice/game Mondays and an outdoor (walk, hike, bike, etc) activity on the weekend (sundays usually) is good? Seems to be working okay for me... :D

I feel better now after writing all this. Hope someone posts back. I need the company during all this racket LOL

Edited to add: PS- we have no kitchen so the only cooking this week and next is BBQ. I was thinking this week would be bad for my health b/c of eating out but so far BBQ has been really healthy and we don't have ANY snacks in the house- only fruit and veg! There will be a few eat out not so great meals, but I'll do the best that I can in these circumstances....

Chels, Sorry to hear about the racket.  Maybe you can get some ear plugs???

Sounds like you are staying pretty busy, so I would think your workouts are fine.  I'm kind of the same way... I may only get two "workouts" in each week, but as long as I'm staying active the other days it's all good.

As for the grill, I always did well when we had a grill.  Grilled fish, and chicken are the best!!!  I was thinking if you had a microwave you could cook up a bunch ahead of time, but I'm guessing you don't have a fridge... so nowhere to keep it.  Drat!

haha nope!

we have a mini fridge right now. but all i am keeping in it are essentials.

we BBQd up some artic char last night with a TON of veg- it was delish.

tonight having lamb at the in laws.

tues and thurs hubby works so we will just have chicken breast sandwiches and veg and dip or something like that....

wed grilling up some skinless chicken breast with garlic potatoes on the grill

friday we are eating vegan at my parents

sat we are BBQing pizza! PC makes these blue menu whole wheat crusts that are 380 cals for 1 whole pizza including sauce. so add a TON of veg and some light cheese and for 500 cals you have a WHOLE pizza (4 big slices)

sunday we have fathers day brunch with my fam and BBQ with hubbys fam. so dont have to worry about groceries or dinner plans til Monday. then we will BBQ some more...lol

re: activity. i think that for me, being active on Monday for 3 hrs with baseball and Sunday (biking, hiking, gardening etc) plus two full body workouts + 15 min HIIT is good for me too. i want a HRM so I can see how many cals I am burning during all of this...

UGH!

I drank a bit too much last night for my birthday (and have been eating out since Thursday night- dinners and lunches for my bday....) and now I am sick!!

I was ill all morning- couldnt keep anything down cept for a couple pieces of toast and a banana. I thought it was a bad hangover (even though I didnt drink THAT much) but now I am wondering if maybe its the flu...

I am hot and cold, was shivering earlier, fever, achy bones.

I missed my Saturday workout (however walked a LOT that day down at Clifton Hill with Adam in Niagara Falls) so got some exercise there.... but I'll have to finish Stage 4 this week. Then off to Wasaga next.

July is NOT turning out how I had hoped. :(

On a positive note, Wed evening I am becoming a volunteer for our local humane society in the cat socialization program which should be really fulfilling for an animal lover like me.

Anyways just needed to rant a bit- drinking some Gatorade (G2) and about to eat a potato from Wendys (hope I can keep it down)

Bleh......

Oh yuck, I went through that last week. Was hungover one day and then a few days later got a 24 hour bug with chills and fever. Not on the same day though :( Happy late birthday though! Hope you had fun and are feeling better by the time you read this!

I'm still feeling pretty crappy- havent eaten much today, still having hot flashes, stomach cramps...

Barely slept last nite, had such a fever that I couldnt sleep- just layed down with a cold cloth.... being sick is BRUTAL.

I WILL finish Stage 4 this week... I NEED to get it done before I am off to Wasaga next week.

Once I get back from vacation I am going to start kicking ass with this program again. I'll be refreshed and ready to go!
