Hello all,

I haven't been on here in awhile but I need to gain some weight back.  I was 160lbs and I'm 5'7".  I went to the gym to loose and tone and I did that.  I got to 150lbs (which I loved).  My waist got small, stomach flat and toned.  Then I had a horrible break up and now I weigh like 143lbs and I truly hate it.  Well I want to get back to 154 or even 150lbs.  What can I eat everyday to gain that back?  I stopped going to the gym also.

I would say DON'T stop going to the gym.  You don't want to gain the weight back in fat, your body will look better and more fit/attractive if you gain it in muscle and tone up.  Eat a calorie surplus and hit the wieghts.  Get lots of protein!

high cal foods - full fat yogurt, cottage cheese, nuts, cheese, peanut butter, almond butter

:)

Thanks....would u recommend protein shakes?

I would, I use them before my workouts.  ACTUALLY.... Now I make my own protein bars and they are really good!  here is the recepie, enjoy!

6 scoops protein powder

5 tbs peanut butter

3/4 cup oatmeal

1 cup powdered non fat milk

1/2 - 1 cup of dried fruit/mixed nuts of choice

3/4 cup of water

put in a dish sprayed with non fat cooking spray and put in the fridge, cut into bars... I cut them into 18 bars which are about 120 cals a piece, but you could cut them bigger if you wanted.  Perfect for before a workout!  :)  good luck.
