I need to GAIN weight

Quote  |  Reply

help, I need to know how to gain weight.

I'm 15 years old, I live in Australia and I'm tired of being under the pressure of what I'm supposed to look like. I just want to be normal and have curves like other girls..

people who are trying to motivate people to LOSE weight tell them that being skinny doesnt make you a woman, and that men dont like skinny women

the truth is that it makes me feel horrible, it just makes the naturally thin women feel even worse about themselves. I feel like theres something wrong with me.. I'm sick of being  called skinny, I want to look normal!!!!!!!!

Part of the reason you're so thin is your age--you'll develop curves and gain weight as you age. If you'd like to help the process along, start adding more whole grains to your diet. Whole wheat pasta, whole grain bread, brown rice, couscous, quinoa, sweet potatoes... there's lots to choose from, and they all have relatively high calorie counts to help you gain. Also, don't steer away from full-fat products. Enjoy your full-fat cheese, yogurt and milk!

I looked severly anorexic until I was in my late teens. It's been downhill from there. Enjoy it while you can!

I totally know her feeling and I'm out of my teenage age for a time - some people are just 'skinny', tiny, petite whatever and it is true that it hurts to hear people say "skinny girls are not attractive to men" to encourage ppl with an overweight problem.

I was told by a man I dated he 'really likes me but want a REAl woman, not a kid' - I was 21 at this time and he was not older.

Just telling... sometimes (probably a rare case though) this is why some girls develope ED's. When they see they can't fit in the 'womanly curvy' type of girl, they think - then I rather go for the superskinny one, since that is at least "a type of" body and not just nothing.

I have a friend who is anorexic and it's hurtful to hear people to tell her to go eat a hamburger. I would never tell them to lay off the hamburgers! But don't listen to them. Skinny is beautiful and healthy as long as you do it right. That's why websites like these exist. We all want to be you. :)
What exactly are your stats? Height, weight? It could just be that other people are jealous. Women deny it, but they wish they were naturally thin.

I can understand how you feel I have a daughter who is very thin ,normally she is a size double 0 ,although she eats constantly she has a hard time gaining weight she is 20. I have shopped with her and many of times she has a hard time finding her size, she gets very upset, her sister and I are average built and curvy, lately she has been increasing her calorie count and fat intake she has moved up to a size 3( and extremely happy)just hang in there and remember that true beauty comes from with in.

the whole "men dont like skinny women" is more like some men. Some really love skinny women and some love bigger women. There's a man for every body type. Don't listen to them and be happy with yourself. I have guy friends who only date girls as skinny as victoria secret models and friends who love a girl to have meat on her bones, they think its sexier. It all depends on the man.
