1) egg whites- I find it extremely filling to make an egg white omelette with veggies and low fat cheese

2) whole wheat crackers with string cheese

3) kashi granola bars

4) Handful of nuts

5) lentil soup

Two cups of anything will fill your stomach.  Water & doing something will often stop cravings not related to actual hunger.  Same for a single serving mini bag of popcorn with 12 - 16 oz water; the water to fill & the popcorn for something to chew.  Sugar-free jello also works like water, because that's basically what it is.  I keep a double or triple size batch already made up in the fridge & sometimes have a little fat-free whipped topping.  Carrot & celery sticks already cut up if I need to chew. Most non-cream based soups are filling.

More importantly, have lean proteins at every meal & don't cut all fats out, as these increase satiation as well as fill you up.  The healthy fats carry essential nutrients.

Good Luck!

My standby hunger killers are low sodium bouillion and low sodium V8 juice.  I sometimes heat the V8 - it tastes like tomato soup and satisfies hunger.

If I crave a low calorie carb, I go for either unsalted popcorn or a couple of rice cakes.

These things are just a temporary measure between meals or in the evening when I don't want to add too many calories.  I find hot foods more satisfying than cold.

More filling foods - steamed vegetables with my Low Fat Cheese Sauce, A piece of cold chicken breast, a hard boiled egg, a 1" cube of hard cheese, some Roasted Chickpeas.

(I'm on a low sodium diet for health reasons)
