I need a good jogging bra

Quote  |  Reply

When I jog on my treadmill I don't feel very "secure" with my bra, if you get what I mean.  Does anyone know where I can get a nice, comfy, secure bra?  And what brand do you recommend?

Thanks!!!  Laughing

check out www.titlenine.com

 there are several good options.

Under armor is a good brand.  I found one that fits me really well and "holds it all in".  They aren't cheap, though.

hi diana,

i don't know what your cup size is, but that makes  a big difference.  oftentimes the most supportive sports bras can be thick and uncomfortable.

here's a top 10 list that says which ones are best for which cup sizes: http://exercise.about.com/od/exerciseapparel/ tp/sports_bras.htm.  good luck staying in place!

I use a Nike sports bra. It has good coverage and support. Very "secure".
I like the ones from Victoria's Secret, they have different ratings to show you how much support each one tends to give. Also, they periodically go on sale for around $10.
I've said it before and I'll say it again:  ENELL SPORTS BRA (their slogan is: "the bounce stops here").  Look no further.
Go to your local running store and ask someone.  My running store recently had a "bra fit" event when they measured you and let you try out various ones to find the perfect balance of comfort and support.  I ended up getting a Moving Comfort one, but it was pretty expensive - $44.  But I figure, it's worth it to not have to think about my boobs when I run!
Thanks everyone!  I appreciate the feed-back.  Now there's no excuse for me to be bouncing around everywhere.  LOL...........
i just found a great one 'Shock Absorber' hink its made by wonderbra. cross between bra and sports top, i got one that does up at the front (easy off when youre sweaty) and actually gives you a nice shape and holds you very firmly in.
I'm with lizab, under armour rocks. Not cheap, but SOOO worth it for this D cup!
i got awesome speedo ones from a store called marshalls. very affordable and AWESOME! although i dont  have as much as others to bounce around.... :)
Victoria's Secret makes the Shock Absorber & it's great, but discontinued. you might find them on eBay though. I've had good luck with Champion lately (I don't need much support though). They've incorporated these new seamless fabrics and feel awesome.

ENELL SPORTS BRA  = pricy, but works.  I'm a DD - and it's the only sports bra that has EVER been effective.

I find I have the best luck at outlet malls. I can get a brand-name Nike or Adidas or even Under Armour bra for less than in other places. So what if it's in lime green, haha? It's a bra, and it will mostly be under my clothes anyway.

Good luck!

I have found that it's best to try on a variety of different ones and test them out by jumping up and down a few times in the dressing room. This feels totally dorky but if you don't feel movement, you've found the one!
Everyone here has such great suggestions.  I especially like the one about jumping up and down in the dressing room.  LOL.  I'll definitely remember to do that!!  Smile  Thank you everyone!!!
I like Champion sports bras; they come in fun colors and the material feels wonderful- all that business about sweat 'whicking' or whatever they call it.

If you're small (think 34B or smaller) and need a budget bra, I actually really like the Fruit of the Loom ones at Wal-Mart: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?pro duct_id=5645734

Less than $10 for three bras- can't beat that! I don't like racer-backs (they pinch my armpits!), so I was sooo happy when I found these that are really comfortable, cheap, and lots of fun colors!

I'm a small 36-C.  I just looked at the fruit of the loom bra on the link you gave and they look very comfortable but don't look very supportive.  Maybe I'll go check them out today.  Thank you!!!
The Nike bras are very good. If you dig around the clearance racks in sporting good stores you can sometimes find one for $20 or less if you don’t mind florescent pink with green stripes.
