Need a good sports bra! Any suggestions?
Hello all!
I can't seem find a decent sports bra that gives me good support, is comfortable, and still looks ok under a tank top.
I'm not huge (38-40D) but I still find it extremely distracting not to mention painful when I work out. Even just walking is a nuisance with all the bouncing!
I'd like to find one that keeps me seriously strapped down.
I'm about where you are as well (36-38D) and have the same problem. I invested in an under armor sports bra and love it. I was sceptical at first because it didn't SEEM like it gave much support, but I soon realized after a couple of workouts that it is the most comfortable thing I have ever worn. I think I'm still bouncing in it, but at least I'm not noticing lol. BTW, I have worn it while running and it definitely keeps everything in place.
Second the under armour - I bought this one about 6 weeks ago and love it. It says it's for C cup, but mine are in between C and D and fit just fine into a large. It's very comfortable and SUPER supportive, I'm much less bouncy even while sprinting and doing box jumps! It's definitely on the pricy side, but seems like it will last a long time and looks fine under tank tops.
Try Shock Absorber bras available at figleaves.com, and other places. Buy the ones with at least level 3 support, and they even have a level 4 for bigger cup sizes. I wear the level threes and I swear to you I experience no bounce at all, which is exactly what I want when I'm running.
the Fiona bra is awesome!!! I wear a 34 D and they don't move in this bra. ![]()
A friend of mine just wrote this review:

I have a moving comfort bra (I think the style is Fiona) and I love it. I'm at 36DD.
I am a 32DD and The LuLulemon brand, model "the ta-ta tamer" is the best! I have been searching for a good sports bra since high school (10 years ago!) and finally found one at Lulu. In case you are not from canada, Lululemon is a Vancouver BC born company that focuses on comfortable, functional, and good looking athletic wear. Tons of LuLulemon is sold on Ebay, and I think they have an online store as well. good luck in your hunt!
Shock Absorbers all the way...iv been using them for years and i love them i have very large breast and shock absorbers are the only sports bra i can wear and totally forget i have boobs! (well sort of)
I love my Enell sports bra! I'm 38DD and it straps 'em down so there's barely any bounce while I am running. It kind of feels like a bullet proof vest when you first try it on, but it works.
Also, check out Title Nine sports. They rate their sports bras by barbells, so look for the 3+ ones for the most support. Lots of choices and quick delivery!
