I need a great recipe!

Quote  |  Reply

.. For my meat eating boyfriend. Does anyone have a vegan recipe that is sure to please a meat-eater? his birthday is in 5 days and I refuse to buy or cook meat for him. That being said, Id like to make him something special. Thanks in advance!   =)

Hi, I know this is a bit late for your boyfriend's birthday but I have a meat eating boyfriend as well and I am in the same situation. Here are some recipes I have found that he loves and I love too!

Portabellos are a great way to substitute meat without being as expensive as the "fake meat" they have a nice steak-like consistency and if done right you can hardly tell the difference between meat and mushroom! This recipe is amazing and great over rice or cauliflower:

The "burgers" in this recipe are a bit hard to eat because portabellos tend to be hard to just bite off but they make up for it in taste plus burgers are a favorite of my boyfriend and he loves to cook them and its one more recipe i don't have to prepare. They can also be grilled for a more "burgery" taste:

He couldn't get enough of this one and even thought the "steak" was amazing:

This one is my mom's recipe and it is great to have on hand it can be made and frozen which makes it easy because it makes a lot! My boyfriend is obsessed with spicy foods and loves this as a dip with chips which is better than salsa and cheese and it is VERY filling!
