I need help with some 400 cal dinners
Hi there-
Can I have some examples of a 400 calorie dinner? I do like all types of meat and havent yet met a food I really didn't like!
There's loads and loads and looads!!!
I'll just give you my personal fave though XD
about 80 - 100g of whole grain rice, half a packet stir fry veggies and prawns
Just cook the rice for about 10mins, bung chinese veg and prawns (about a handful) in a wok for about 5 then mix it all together with soy sauce. It's damn cheep and tastes amazing. Calorie wise it racks up about 300ish, maybe less so you have extra for pudding too!
It is actually a little more than 400, but it is REALLY filling! I will check and see if the links work and go to the recipe, but i suspect it will go to the nutritionals instead. greek chicken kabobs B 242 181 flat bread B+ 67 155 greek salad A- 215

I was right.

You can replace the flatbread with storebought pitas, i just like making my own.
Heh. Last night I had 6 ounces of shrimp and 1 ounce of heavy cream whipped with lemon extract and splenda & frozen (yeilds 1 cup of ice cream). 400 calories! Delicious!
carley, I thought you meant all of that together. As in, some weird shrimp ice cream...it took me a while.
I work all recipes back to 400-500 cals per serving and here are a selection....

Here is my fave. Im vegetarian (mostly) so this has no meat but you can add chicken or beef and alter the cals a small amount. It is really good. Almost like being able to have pizza without all the cals. And the serving size isn't really small or anything.
