I started CC in April and since then I have lost 9 lbs which I feel really good about but when I started I measured myself and last night I measured myself and I hadn't lost any inches, none!  Is this normal, is it possible?

I got to thinking that maybe I am logging everything wrong.  Could someone please help and let me know.

I am 42, 5'1", 151 lbs and have my activity setting at moderately active.  I only log my daily 40 minute exercise and the 10 minutes a day I spend freeing my yard of Doggy land mines so my burn meter is 2230 and my calorie intake is 1500 a day.  My day consist of waking up at 5:00 am, cleaning the yard, getting ready for work, situating my Husband so he can watch our Grandson during the day.  I have a 30 minute drive into work, I have an office job where I am at a computer but up and down several times through out the day (I wore a pedometer for a week and it said I walk roughly a mile and a half to two miles a day) I am at work for about 10 hours, then I drive home another 30 minutes, change, eat dinner, do dishes or a load of laundry, then I go for a half mile walk, then start my 40 minutes of weights, exercise ball, crunches.  Then I start work for about 3-4 hours, this is on a laptop with minimal moving.  Then I shower and go to bed and wait to start all over.  I get about 5-6 hours sleep a night?

Do I have my level set correct, am I not consuming enough calories, what can it be?  I went 10 days without weighing myself and when I did I hadn't lost anything so I am trying to end the stall?

Help me Please.

I think moderately active is correct.

If you haven't lost, I'd trying upping your cals for a week or two. You might be burning more than you think.
And if that doesn't work, then lower your cals for a couple weeks.
Or you can zig zag like some people here do.

Thanks sighing, I will give it a try.  When you say zig zag do you mean that they alternate calories per week, day, etc?

It's a bit scary to up my calories but I just don't want to be standing still.  Thanks

Per day. Like Monday they'll have 1200, Tuesday 1600, Wednesday 2000, etc.
Different people have different results with zigzagging, though. Whatever is comfortable with you. :)

It's better to up your cals before lowering them ;). Enjoy the extra food!

I'm no expert, but it sounds like you are overestimating your calories burned. I think you probably qualify as moderately active, but if you set it to that level, you should not be logging any activities because the 40 minute exercise etc is already estimated in the calculation used for moderately active people.  I set my level to sedentary and then log activity. I would suggest choosing one of these methods and never eating below your BMR.  According to this website,

your BMR is 1401 and you burn approx 2171 cals/day. Sounds like you should be losing weight if your exercise level and food intake stats are accurate!

 

The measurement you are comparing it to-----was it measured at the same time (night)? I don't know about everyone else, but throughout each day I generally gain an inch or so in my waist just from drinking water and eating. That's why I always weigh/measure myself first thing in the morning.

It was roughly about the same part of the night, give or take 20 minutes or so.  I actually weigh myself in the morning but never thought it affected measurement.  Good thought I will give it a try one of these morning and see how I am doing.

I wasn't logging the exercise or land mine patrol but when I read the description of Moderate activity it says 2 miles walked per day and between work and the walk I do at night I get that and I don't log them so I thought the other stuff would be alright to add?

Does that make sense or am I miss understanding?

your measurements may not have changed, but you may have replaced fat with muscle. If you are standing taller and feeling healthier, then all is not lost. Were you surprised when you didn't measure a difference because you felt like you were healthier/thinner? That maybe you did look a little better in the mirror? If so then that's progress. Just be patient and stay positive!
