You have to remember that six pack abs are all about low body fat percentage. That can only come from a good diet and exercise program. Train the abs like other muscle groups. Do weighted ab exercises three times a week and combine it with cardio to reduce fat. Weighted ab exercises will help to add mass and volume to your abs so that it can show when you reduce body fat.
Hope this was helpful.
''Do weighted ab exercises three times a week''
what sort of excersies could i do?
the easiest thing to do is to hold a weight plate while you do crunches. or you could use a resistance machine. or wear ankle weights while doing jack knifes. anything that adds resistance to an ab exercise.
but it doesn't matter how hawt your ab muscles are if they're under a layer of fat. you'll have to eat clean & do cardio to uncover them.
alrite, thanks i'll do that,
Well first of all you can't spot reduce. Unfortunately, the abdominal region is usually the last area to go.
However, you can do things to try and speed up the process. The first and most important is to change your eating habbits. Abdominal fat, is usually the result of poor eating habbits. All the exercise in the world won't matter if you aren't eating right. Look into how many calories per day you should be getting at your activity level and spread that out over 5-6 small meals. The more often you eat (every 2 1/2 - 4 hours) the faster your metabolism will be. Make sure to get enough protein, healthy fats, and complex carbs. Also fruits/veggies and a lot of water. Take one day a week where you eat a few small cheat meals. This would be the day where you have a soda, cheeseburger, etc.. Just do it in moderation.
Secondly, you can actually get great abs from lifting. Back/front squats and deadlifts will give you a killer ab workout and chin-ups are great for abs as well. You don't need to spend time doing endless ab exercises.
Last but not least, look into HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) for cardio. It will speed your metabolism up and target fat much better than doing regular cardio.
Thats gr8, thank you
