need a little boost of confidence :(

here's the deal: a year ago i was fit, healthy, and happy....then a summer of intense family stress led to me developing an eating disorder of binging which has taken this entire year to slowly get over with.

what i'm left with? 15 pounds over my normal weight, stuff jiggles, i can't fit my clothes...

i live out of the country right now and in 4 weeks i see my friends for the first time since the end of last semester in college.

i'm trying to fix it now, but it's slow and patient going to healthily return to my normal fit state...and i know that means i won't be even near there  when i see my friends again,...

i know it's stupid, but i'm soooo worried they will be like, "gee girl, what happened to you?"

and that makes me even more worried i'll never be normal again :(

really depressing i know, i'm normally very optimistic....just having a bad day and needed an uplift...

First, I'm sorry you're having a rough day! You'll pull through it.

As for your friends - don't worry about them! I know it is 'easy to say such things' but really, good friends don't judge by appearances. Life happens to everyone, and I'm 100% sure they will be in the same position someday.

Besides that though, you have a month to continue to lose a little weight! I've lost 10 lbs in one month with diet alone [I know that it's a little over what is "healthy" to lose, but oh well] A LOT can be accomplished in 1 month. You could lose almost half of that, and depending on your weight to begin with, an extra 6-7 lbs. is NOTHING that anyone should be ragging on you for :]

I'm sure you will get on track.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day, and your stay abroad.

:]

:-) thanks! youre right. my friends should understand if they really are my friends! i'm ALMOST to 140. I do feel MUCH better now that i've stayed on track the past two weeks (with the exception of two days of absolute exhaustion and stress from school that resulted in a mcdonalds feast, lol) but i'm definitely getting much better about dealing with stress and eating healthier. thanks for the boost!
