I don't know about you but I haven't been able to get back on track since the holidays.  I have gained about 10 lbs since November and am barely squeezing into my clothes.  I need to get back on track and need some motivation.

A little about me, I have been on a weight loss journey for about three years now.  At my heaviest, I weighed 260 lbs.  I am now down to 170, but I was 161 at my lowest.  I never had the desire to be super skinny, just healthy.  Weighing in at 160 put me in the healthy BMI range and fitting back comfortably into my size 8 jeans, that were my goal from the very beginning (I used to wear a size 20 and I wanted to be a single digit size!). 

So this is what I'm proposing, a weekly weigh in and motivation for others.  I don't care if you need to lose 10 lbs or 100 lbs, lets help each other out.  Weekly weigh ins would be held on Wednesday.  Anybody in?

I'm in it to win it baby!

I want to lose at least 10 pounds but I could go as far as to aim for 25 pounds. I'm short (5'2) and at my heaviest I was 138-ish. It was bad.

Right now I'm 129-ish so I did good so far. I don't excerize much so for now I'm relying on calorie intake restrictions.

My curent weight is 126

I started at 130

Goal weight is 120

I would love to take part in this - this is the first post/group/anything that I have used on the site other than logging my own calories etc.  As for me I am 5'6" and I am at 138 lbs right now.  My goal right now is to get down to 120ish.  This may change as I gain some muscle but as of right now that is my goal. 

I do think this will be great though - I will have to be accountable to others...that may just be what I need to keep going with what I have started.

I am in!! I had a baby 7 months ago, and am back down to what i was before I got pregnant, but I would still like to lose about 10 pounds, Im 5 2 and weigh 125 right now.  I have just started to count my calories and pay attention to what my daily activities really burn.  I just want to feel better about myself again.

So is everyone doing good so far?

The weekends are always toughest for me - I do very well during the week and then the weekend hits and I feel like I fall apart a little bit.  I am pretty proud so far though - although yesterday was my 'splurge meal' I still kept that pretty healthy because I knew that we were going out for drinks afterwards.  We'll see...if I can make it through the rest of today being good then I should be okay!

Weekends are the hardest for me too, especially on holiday weekends when everything is based on food.  I had a horrible weekend but tomorrow I will get back on schedule.  I did go have a good workout saturday morning because I knew we were going to be eating good Saturday night.  I also allow myself a cheat day, but this was more like a cheat weekend!  Hope everyone had a good V-day weekend!

I am so in.  I've been with CC on and off for a few years, sometimes you just need a break.  My lowest was 170 in October now 185 and holding steady, thank god.  So I am in kick but mode to lose 15 for May or June and hopefully another 15 for december.  155 has always been my goal.

Hello everyone!  This is my first post ever on CC.  I have been on CC for about a year though, using the calorie tracker.  This group seems like the perfect place for me.  My stats are 23 years old, 5'5 and 150 lbs.  I hope to be 135 by end of April or early May.  A year ago I was 117 lbs.  I had transsternal thymectomy in March 2008 at the Mayo Clinic to remove a thymoma.  Being bed ridden and fed liquid calories via an IV really did a number on me.  Also because of the disease I have I wasn't allowed to eat more than 10 carbs a day.  Of course coming off this diet after my surgery made me pack on the lbs!  I am currently around 25 percent body fat and would love to see that go down around 22-23 percent.

I am 5"1' & 122 pounds. I started 10 days back & have seen changes in my body already. Have lost around 1 pound. Here are the small changes I have made

- portion control (I think I consume around 1800 calories everyday)
- no cookies/cakes, no sweets as all! it completely throws me off my diet so have it only on weekends
- walk up the stairs every morning at work
- do crunches every day while watching TV (72 in total)
- work-out 2 days a week (on weekends)

Age 43

Weight 144lbs - currently my highest ever and don't ever want to come back to this weight!

Difficulty - juggling work, commitments and taking children to various activities leave little time to plan healthy meals or exercise.

Is 1200 calories too low?

Can I be in too?

 

I weigh 181 and 5'6''. up 20 lb. from 1 year ago.

Goal of 163 by June 1st.

Goal of 155lb. by August 1.

Hey I am new here, well I was on here like 2 yrs ago and lost 40 Ibs....kept it off till a few months ago when I got a job sitting all day and gained 10 back.  I am trying to loose that 10 again.  I am 134 lbs and 5'5".  My goal weight is 120-125 lbs.

I'll join in too. I've been using this site on and off for about a year and a half (I think), but I've never joined one of these groups. I'm in the same boat as you, salazar. I can't seem to get re-started after the holidays. I started at 168, and was down to 153 before thanksgiving, but it's crept back up to 156-157ish (on a good day).

I'm definitely happy with that loss although it may be some water weight...last week was that time of the month for me so we'll see if it continues into next week.  Looking forward to hearing about all of your success!

Well this is definetely a bad day for me.  I've been watching what I eat, I will admit not as good as I should be but still good and working out 4 times a week.  I've gained 2 lbs.  I'm so frustrated.  I'm really going to trim my calories this week and will probably add in another workout to see some results by next week.

Don't let a little gain get you down.  It could easily be water weight too...in fact it more than likely is! 

I didn't expect much loss, or any, this morning because I just weighed myself on Monday when I put my stats up for this group.  I'm still holding at 150 but I hope next week it will read 148!  Anybody else weigh in today?

1200 is pretty restrictive but still ok.  Just don't go below that or else your metabolism is affected.  I was on a 1200 calorie diet for several months although I didn't have much energy!
