Need to lose weight! I need help

I know that if I eat the weight I want to be ats maintenance calories, I will get there. But how long! If i eat 2000 or more now, and i eat about 1600 will I lose weight quickly!

Also, I am so overwhelmed everyday. I cant stick with my diet, and I dont know why... I allow myself no restrictions except for calories, but if i want that chocolate bar i will, as long as it is in my maintenance calories. I am getting fat, I cant lose wiehgt! Help!!

Any adice on weight loss would be amazing :)

what are your current stats (age, height, weight, sex) and how much activity are you getting? if you're starving on 1600 calories then maybe you should look at WHAT you're eating as well. What is a typical day like for you? 

17, 5'2, female! I eat oatmeal, fruit, apple, banana, pb and j for lunch, and then i lose it about 4:00 o clock and binge... almost every day

Well, it doesn't look like you're getting enough protein in there, for one...

Do you weigh your portions?  Maybe post an actual day's meals, with times and amounts.

oh okay! So for instance breakfast: oatmeal with yogurt and an apple (330)

snack: apple (100)

Lunch: peanut butter and banana sandwich (360)

Snack: apple and banana ( 230)

Dinner: salad with chicken, or turkey, etc. (600)

Also---- I normally binge around lunch or afternoon snack

Total without binging equals==1620

Maybe you wanna binge around lunch time because you are going too long between that and breakfast? How long are they inbetween? Maybe you should try oatmeal and an apple for breakfast, then the yogurt and some string cheese. A salad with some fat and protein would be better for lunch, like what you have listed for dinner, along with the other apple if you insist on having more than one a day. But try more variety.

A sandwich made of turkey/ham/or chicken, low fat cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, and your choice of condiment on whole grain bread keeps me full for a long time.

sometimes snacking is a reaction to how we are feeling rather then hunger. I snack when I am bored, or when i am stressed. one way to help stop this is to have my snack meals be something that i can munch on- like trail mix, or popcorn, or nuts.  another reason i binge is due to cravings- i love chocolate.  diet or not i want it.  so that is where trail mix helps- make it yourself with the nuts you like, the dried fruits you like, and with some dark chocolate chocolate chips.  another option is to buy some meal replacement bars.  I think that the Detour bars that are caramel peanut taste kind of like snickers.
