Considering you exercise a lot, it's probably just 122 of just muscle, it sounds like you're pretty fit so I say keep it up and just maintain. But sometimes it's all up to your own opinion of how you think you look and feel. Good luck!
At age 15, unless you are morbidly obese it would be a bad idea to diet. Sometimes your body puts on fat just before a growth spurt, and also you need extra nutrients while you're still developing. You sound far from obese (although I struggle to think in pounds), so please don't diet. It'll only mess with your head.
Thanks. ^.^
If anyone else has something to say feel free to say it!
you are perfect, don't change a thing. i'm the same size, haha. don't overdo it with the exercise though!
there is such thing as over exercising so be careful. And a good judge of if your are overweight or underweight is to find your Body Mass Index (BMI) and your body fat percentage. Usually a local gym can help you find your body fat percentage and you can calculate your BMI on line, google BMI calculator. I went on and checked it your BMI is 19.7. As you can see your are right in the healthy range. :)
Underweight >18.5
Healthy 18.5-24.9
Overweight 25-29.9
Obese 30<
Hey thanks guys. ^.^
And don't worry, I'm not "over exercising," I'm on a water polo team so that's where I get all the exercise daily. So I don't do it on purpose, per se. ;] Anyways, thanks for the BMI stats, I didn't know I was only 1 BMI point away from being underweight. I guess what I want to lose weight for is because I look so fat when I look down at myself. ._. And my tummy has no shape it's just flat on all sides; it's like a box. Lol. Does anyone have any tips to make a little dent in your torso to get that hourglass shape? =] Thanks again
xoxoxo Lexi
no
It sounds like you are a lovely, slim young woman. (I'm assuming you're a girl because you said you want a hourglass shape!) The hips and curves will come later, don't worry about it. Most girls get more curvy in the late teens and early 20s.
I was a swimmer and waterpolo player when I was your age and had no hips at all. You'll fill out. Our bodies constantly change as we grow up and grow older. Just make sure you eat healthy and take in enough calories to maintain all that exercise and you'll be way ahead of the game when those curves start coming.
Lexi I'm glad to see you reevaluated your weight loss plan. Enjoy the water polo workouts and keep doing what you are doing.
