portion control, just dont over do it.  One day isnt going to blow your diet. :)
i say eat a peice of fruit before you leave so you arent that hungry and practice portion control at the party
Same thing happened to me. I ate an square-inch of cheesecake. and I avoided anything else. I ate two plates of mixed greens so hope you will have salad there.
it's a birthday party! eat a healthy snack beforehand like fruit, have one slice of pizza (go for the veggie stuff if you like it), a tiny piece of cake and keep the soda diet (or have water!) watching your calories is important, but so is living your life! enjoy the party, don't stress if you go over your calories a bit, and just be good the rest of the weekend! have fun :)
be very social so you wont be standing in a cornor eating...have single servings...dont eat cake if you dont want it, but all the same if you do, have a slice, and leave it at that...try to lay off the pizza. like either have a slice of pizza, or of cake, not both...and skip the ice cream
You people do realize this is the 13 yr old that wants to weigh 90 lbs, right?
I'm with Corliss797. Have fun! One day isn't going to kill you! Every once in a while you just have to enjoy yourself without worrying about it. You don't have to go overboard, but have a piece of cake if you want it. You can get back to normal the next day.
...And especially at 13 years old, you should be consuming a lot of calories. Cutting your calories now is only going to make it easier to gain weight later. Live life, have fun, and don't worry about dieting. If you start dieting now, you will be dieting your whole life.
id say enjoy the night,
but dont completely forget about the calories.
this could lead to you just muching out on everything in sight - because you may think its an exception. And, from experience, this will just make you feel like shit later on.

But have fun! And enjoy every bite!!
As has been posted to you on your other thread, you don't really need to worry about your weight like this at your age.

But, the advice of eating something healthy like fruit or veggies beforehand is a very good one, and will reduce the temptation to eat what's at the party.  Not that eating one slice of pizza or a small piece of cake would be a bad thing - the 1200 a day pace you claimed in the other thread is more unhealthy for you than one or two slices of pizza.

Lighten up, have some fun, be a teenager, and stay healthy.  One meal of non-diet food will not make you fat.
Try to control yourself.  Pick the thing that you really want to have.  If you want to have a piece of cake, then only have the cake.  Go for vegetarian pizza if it's served, because meat calories add up fast.  Tomorrow work your butt off!  Counteract any over-eating with hard excercise.

I had the same problem when I went to a work party/BBQ.  It was an all evening event, so I found it really hard to resist the great food.  I just worked out really hard the next few days and I still lost weight that week.
this is ridiculous, anorexic 13 year olds shouldn't be on a website wherein they can further obsess over their weight. I WAS ONE ONCE, for goodness sake EAT THE PIZZA you're 13!! i'm guarenteeing you're beautiful you just don't see it.
haha - are u really 13 worried about this...

well, do what i do- carry a stick of gum. after u are done eating, chew the gum- it will disuade u from eating more.
Well, how did it go?
I'm hoping that at 13, she could eat a peice of pizza, have water or one soda, AND eat a peice of birthday cake!  It's a party for gosh sakes! Plus eat a healthy snack before she goes!

Hi

Take a Veggie plate and enjoy. Try celery and Salsa Spice to taste.
