I need some motivation!!!!
I have been counting my calories since the end of March and so far I have lost 10lbs! But I can't seem to start working out!! Everyday I plan to do it and it never happens. My problem is that I get so bored when I workout. What worked for you to start working out?
I hate working out, too. What got me started is to simply set a timer for 10 minutes, flick on the tv, then move as much as possible during that 10 minutes. Because it's such a short amount of time, I can't find a good enough excuse not to do it, and the time passes by super quickly.
When that timer goes off, I set it again. Oddly enough, it's easier for me to break my workout into short time intervals so that I don't procrastinate. It's all a mind trick, but it's worth it.
You can also do a 10 minute workout now, then do another, and another later on. It's not ideal, of course, but it's better than nothing! :)
I've seen posts about favorite workout tunes. If you have an Ipod it might be worth a try. Go up to the search bar and click on forums, then enter Work Out Tunes in the topic box. I wish I had an Ipod. ![]()
I'm really busy with school and can always find an excuse to not work out, so I started making work out sessions little relaxation sessions haha. I get on my treadmill and walk at a pretty steep incline, breaking it up into intervals, but the relaxing part is that I read Harry Potter, or other books that are not related to school! I actually look forward to working out because it means I get to read something other than anatomy! I guess this would only work if you like to read though??
