Do I need new running shoes? ~~New Running Shoes Purchasing Advice Needed~~
When I got back from my walk/jog on Thursday, I had a blister on the side of each foot near my big toe. Does this mean that I need new running shoes? Or, is there any other way to prevent this? Is there something in particular that I should look for when buying new sneakers to fix this problem? And what should I look for in general when buying good quality running shoes?
my uneducated answer would be yes. Your feet might be too wide for the shoe or something. they say you should have half to a full inch from the tip of the shoe to your toe? Try going to an actual shoe store with feet fitters/measurers. You dont have to buy anything because they are usually more expensive but it will give you the knowledge of what you need to look for.
There's nothing better than a correctly fitting running shoe. If you can find one near you, go to a specialty store that focuses on running that will correctly measure your feet and analyze your gait. They'll make a recommendation what is the best kind of shoe for you to get based on that.
I'm fond of Asics myself, the last pair I bought was $90.
