Need a New Scale Fast

Quote  |  Reply

I have an old, dying WW scale and am trying to find a new scale.  I would like one with BF% and BMR (well, that would be a bonus but BF for sure).  Really don't want to spend more than $100.  Any suggestions?  I was reading about the Tanita scales but saw too many negative things said about those.  Thanks a lot PLEASE help!  Happy New Year!

A scale with body fat percentage will be incredibly inaccurate, as a forewarning. Honestly, just look for a good digital scale - I wouldn't worry about extras like BF%.

I have one of the Tanita scales and I really really like it.  Best scale I've had so far.  It seems to be very accurate (same as when I go to the doctor) and measures body fat % and % of water.  Got mine at Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

I saw WW scales and many others with the functions you're looking for at KMart -- all around $50.

The Taylor brand scales are very accurate and reliable.  (Some have BF% but I don't know about the reliability of that feature.)

I just went to the doctor this week and i was up by 7 lbs...NOT! I questioned the doctor and he said it was off by 7 lbs, well what the heck, so actually i dont even really know where i started with weight loss, the gym that i go to has the same issue, i questioned them as well, and theirs is not accurate eitherSurprised

I bought my own the other day, just a plain ole digital one and seems to work just fine.
