I need new Workout music for my MP3
I need some good music for my MP3 player. Mostly treadmill, Eliptical, and light weights are my routine. What are some good songs to keep me going and make my hour+ workout goal not seem so long?
play very long songs, like even 10+ minutes, even though it feels long, the simple fact that you listen to this thing 6 times, it tricks your mind.
i go the opposite direction as dartinton,
i play fast, short songs so you don't get bored with the music,
i play lots of songs that are really loud and fast-paced and put it on a "work out" playlist on my ipod
some of my favourite work out songs are
"Hey, Ms. Hilton" - The Penfifteen Club
"Flat On The Floor" - Nickleback
"Love Me or Hate Me" - Lady Sovereign
"Get Up Shut Up" - Crash Romeo
songs like that, that are very upbeat and fun.

the best way for a routine to go by fast is to be pumped and full of adrenaline proir to doing it. stretching and eating a balanced meal at least 1 hour before helps me alot.
sounds tacky but, almost anything from the rocky IV soundtrack!
I don't know what it is about them, but anytime I go running I listen to Kasabian's self-titled CD. There are plenty of songs on that album that just get my blood pumping and get me hyped up and ready to go.
On my "work out" playlist on my mp3 i have things like....
- "Sexy Back" Justin Timberlake (convince myself I look sexy)
- "Flat On The Floor" - Nickleback (bit of anger and motivational ggrrrrrrr)
- "Halo" - Soil &nb sp; (more anger and motivational grrr)
- "Maneater" - Nelly Furtardo (convince myself i look sexy)
- "Aint no other man"- christina Aguliara ( girly but motivational beat, wud never listen to it with other peoples knowledge lol)
- "points of authority"- linkin park (motivational grrrrr)
- "forget to remember" - mudvayne (very grrrrrrr)
I like to play really loud, fast hard core rock when i work out. It just pumps me up and makes me want to move fast!!!!!
Metallica is the best of all!
Greenday
Disturbd
Tool
System of the Down

"smack that" by eminem is my current fav. I like that rap crap for when I'm in a sweat session. I also used to like Britney Spears (til she turned into such a hoochie :) Also 'U & Dat' by E-40
Here's some highlights from my workout playlist. It's an on-the-go playlist, so I was limited to things that happened to be on my iPod when I built it. For the most part, it's a bit... crunchier...
- Nine Inch Nails - Sin
- Ministry - Jesus Built My Hotrod
- White Zombie - Black Sunshine
- Rammstein - Du Hast
- Chumbawamba - Tubthumping
- Papa Roach - Getting Away With Murder
- Tool - Bottom
- Green Day - Welcome to Paradise
Must have's are:
- 50 Cent "In Da Club"
- Biggie, Puff Daddy, and Busta Rhymes "Victory"
- 50 Cent "What up Gangsta"
- Eminem "Loose Yourself"
- Eminem "Superman"
- 2pac "Ambitionz as a Ridah"
- Dr. Dre "Dre Day"
- Fat Joe, Mase, Eminem "Lean Back (Remix)"
- G-Unit "Eye for Eye"
- Jay Z "Diamond" (Not the Kanye West version)
- Twista, Freeway, Memphis Bleek "Art & Life"
- Too Short "Gettin It"
I prefer good ole rock and roll cranked !!
Metallica, Mudvayne, American Headcharge, Placebo (bit slower), M. Manson etc etc etc a mix of punk/rock/metal .... I can't help but go faster to them! I've never missed a train in my life thanks to these guys
I love listening to techno music when i'm on the elliptical machines. some good stuff is DJ Tiesto, Darude, Oceanlab, Paul Oakenfold, etc. If you work out to the beat, your guaranteed a good workout!!!
i listen to a few of my weird al yankovic Cd's
time flys when your having fun.

Ooh, good call on Weird Al. The polka medleys would all be great to liven up an otherwise boring cardio session!
Some really great cardio tunes that I have are songs by Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkey, Wolfmother and just about anything from the Killers.
prefer hard and fast to get me motivated...foo fighters, green day, kaiser chiefs, white stripes, danko jones, marilyn manson, everclear, hole, nofx, offspring
Reggae is the magical music of workouts.
Fast, upbeat tempos.
"Move" by Damian Marley is really good for speed workouts, because there are tempo switches. I literally listened to the same reaggae cd mix for 2 months.
America "The Greatest Hits" has some good running songs on it also.
