Need your opinions: One a Day Weight Smart
Hi All-
I was wondering if anyone has taken or knows anyone thats taken One a Day Weight Smart. If so, did you find that it helped to boost your metabolism and aid in your weight loss?
I went on a restrictive diet last year and lost a lot of weight, but slowly it has been coming back on, even when i resort to my same old tactics. I believe that i messed up my metabolism big time and don't know what to do!
So i was just wondering if this product may help. Thanks.
I don't know that particular pill but there's nothing you can get over the counter that is genuinely going to boost your metabolism. This is a thread from 2007

Your metabolism probably isn't messed up exactly but if you undereat you can slow it down. What I've recommended to someone else (and which actually worked) was to work out using the CC tools what your maintenance calories are and go with that for a week or two. Eating normally & regularly (three meals plus snacks) and doing some light exercise is the best way to get a slow metabolism resparked. A little weight-gain initially is to be expected but that's part of the process and you have to tough it out. Once you're maintaining your weight at a higher level then all you have to do to start losing weight is reduce it by 500 cals.... no more.
I think exercise is the key to your problem. Exercise means more muscle and more muscle means faster metabolism.
Doing very restrictive diets slows down your metabolism so maintaining your weight when you lose it is the best thing to do . However if you did gain some weight back do some exercise, eat regularly ( 2-3 hours between each meal including snacks) and drink about 2 litres of water everyday.
i tried one-a-day weight smart for awhile (100 tabs to a bottle, right? so i guess i took them for about 100 days). i didn't notice any difference over the regular women's one-a-day, which i've been taking for years.
i agree with jane and ushin; you're not going to find your answer in a pill. feed your body well and move as much as possible.
I've tried it long time ago.
It didn't work and it has a weird taste that I hated (along with the weird smell) and the pill was HUGE, difficult for me to swallow.
I felt like I was high on crack when I took it. LOL. I threw them away.
I have a sensitivity to caffiene, and still don't get the sensation that kristine describes...weird.
Anyway, I just use it as a regular multi vitamin...but I wouldn't say it helps other than making sure that I keep my vitamins up while restricting calories :) just like any other multi.
