I've tried dieting for so long now and it's terrible I end up quitting and going back up and up and up and up and up.
I've now reached my limit, I'm at 225 and I need to start eating healthy before I drive myself insane with nasty remarks to myself when I look in the mirror.
Anyway, Here's my thing.
I don't want to eat, I just stare at food and want to throw it away, I don't want to chew because I think everyone's going to be looking at me like "why's the heffer eating"
So here's the deal.
I need some foods that I can quickly eat/make as I really need something quick otherwise I will literally just not eat, and that's been doing nothing for my weight loss.
I am picky, and I like fruit I just find it hard to eat it.
I'm just strange please someone help me with an easy diet plan, i need to lose about 90 pounds.
I'm starting to walk at night, and filled the iPod with dance music to keep my arse on the machines.
THank you everyone, I'm about ready to give up...........................

Well giving up wont work...............you cant give up. So lets start with the basics, how much do you weight, how tall are you, and what are you goals? Have to keep a food journal to track where, when, and how or how much you eat? How active are you?
OH NO, don't give up!! Oatmeal with a banana is a good breakfast. I have cheerios with a cut up banana for breakfast a lot. Any kind of fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese with pineapple for snacks. Make a big pot of veggy soup on the weekend, you can eat on that all week long! You could also pre-cook some chicken and just warm it with a salad and voila dinner. There are a lot of excuses you can make, but if you change you way of eating, really a lifestyle change, you can start loosing and keep it off. Exercise doesn't hurt either. I hope this helps.

I am new to this site so i will not pretend to know much of anything. I have heard however that eating fast is not good for you.
Don't give up. If you want this you will get it if you just do not give up. Be gentle with yourself and take baby steps if thats what it takes.

I know how you feel. Sometimes I just hate food. But you have to try and get yourself to enjoy it again.
My tips are - prepare your own food - it gets the gastic juices going, and you know exactly whats in it.
Smell you food
Stick to your favourites.
Shopping list for everyone is different. If you're looking for quick meals I'd say
* Low-sodium thick soups. Lke pumpkin. Add your own spices and cottage cheese
* Cottage cheese - really versatile. if you dont like it, get it creamed.
Eating in private can be a sign of an eating disorder, but it helped me eat correcly. Who cares what everyone thinks anyway. Why dont you jsut eat healthy. Then they'll look at you and think "Hey, now there's a girl who's in control"
Breakfast - rolled oats in the microwave. Dont btoehr with instant. Top ewith your fav fruits and have some skim milk. I like berries and bananas best.
Snack - fruit!! I love rockmelon. low cal and sweet
Lunch - I try and make this my big meal as I go to teh gym in the arvo. So I'll have carbs, fat and protein. So usually a pieces of meat, some little steamed potatoes, with skin, veggies and a salad. Eat as much salad as you want. I find it very cleansing. When I eat fatty rubish I acutally start to crave clean foods like cucumber and lettuce. Maybe to amke it easy, have a toasted sandwhich. Skip the cheese, just grill a chicken or tuna sandwhich. Or maybe a tuna salad (skip the mayo) Sprinkle with your fav herbs and have with a diet lemonade or something refreshing
Snack - Well you had fruit before. Try some rice-snacks, dipped in salsa. very easy.
Dinner - Non-meat based. I find meat in the evnings very heavy. But you dont have to have salads! You can have rice and stir fried veggies, with a bit of meat (just not 3oz)
Thats just my suggestion. You have to find what works for you. Just buy the healthy foods you love. And dont feel guitly. You HAVE to eat to lose weight and you HAVE to eat to survive.
Mayve find a restaruant you like, and go there once a week. Or learn their recipies.

One of the most important things to remember is it takes time!!!! You didnt all the weight on over night & it will take more than a night for it to come off.
But dont give up
But dont give up
Thanks you guys, it helps to know people care.
I'm about 5'6 225
Oatmeal with a banana sounds good for breakfast and all the things you guys mentioned sound really good,
I find myself so damn tired, like I just want to sleep all the time, I know i'm coming out of a bout of depression and i was on meds but off them now, I'm tired all the time, I just have no motivation to do anything, I cry out for attention from family but no one seems to care, so it was nice to see that people out here replied.

how about trying to fit in some healthy but calorie dense foods and juices, to help you meet your daily calorie needs? examples:
nuts & seeds: walnuts, almonds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds etc... or spread some peanut butter on a slice of toast and add it to your breakfast.
dried fruit: dried fruit requires little effort eat it by itself, add it some nuts and granola for a trail mix, toss it in oatmeal etc.. try something like raisins, cranberries or apricots
yougurt: stir in fruit and/or granola for a great treat.
juices: look in the produce section fridge to find the healthiest all natural juices/smoothies. you can sip on them throughout the day for energy and no one will notice.
it is very important that you get your allowance calories to lose weight healthily: it takes energy to lose. you should be able to eat/drink these choices quickly and discreetly if that is what will work best for your current lifestyle. i really do hope you are able to replace the negative remarks you feel about your self with positive ones. there are alot more people willing to cheer you on then you realize.
here is a link to a list of the world's healthiest foods. why not try some from this list that you like or are willing to give a chance:

Hi Mekyla,
I just want to encourage you to keep at it. You mention that you don't want people to see you chewing because of what they might think about you.... I'm sorry that you feel that way. I know it's hard not to care what people think about you, but I'm sure that you are a beautiful, kind person, and if someone doesn't see that, then you don't need them.
I really want to wish you luck on this.... I hope you C-C to be very helpful. I know it has helped me alot. Best of luck!

I hope you don't mind but I've added you too! You're post made me think. It's so sad that you feel the way you do. I notice in your journal you say you live in a differnt country to your husband. Is that a permanent thing? Take care x
I started where you are. I am 5'6" and was 225. I am now down to 190, been bouncing between 188-190.
I say take things one step at a time. For two weeks, just worry about your calories, than for the next two weeks add some sort of exercise, than you can start tweeking your diet. Currently I am really working on Fiber and sodium levels.
I find it very overwhelming to just dive in so that is how I have done it. I also know what you mean about eating in public. I had a very skinny friend, who I swear I never saw her eat, and I always felt like, oh there she (me) goes again eating. I just learned to get over it. I now have no problems with it. As long as I know what I am putting in my body and that I am trying my hardest to keep a healthy balance, I don't care what anyone else thinks.
You just have to keep on doing.

I know the answer to weight loss isn't using pills but they help out a lot. I found these pills on the internet called Stimerex-ES. They are ephedra pills. People say they can give you a hard attack in which they can, but if you eat with them and only take them for a short while, you'll be fine.
It's easy for people to say just eat healthy but hard to do especially when you are use to giving into your cravings. I lost a lot of weight by cutting out soda and fried food completely. You have to switch up your food a lot or otherwise the same food gets boring. Try eating oatmeal or fruits for breakfast. Between meals eat sugar-free jello, rice cakes, carrots, etc. You can still eat some sweets but narrow it down to sugar free candy.
Working out is a huge part of weight loss. You MUST do cardio in order to get rid of the extra pounds. I know being over weight and going to the gym could be uncomfortable but try the group classes they offer like biking, kick boxing, or step classes, anything to get your heart rate going. Nobody really enjoys working out but it take about 1 month to get use to it and after awhile, you'll notice to have more energy and to start seeing the pounds drop off.
GOOD LUCK!!!! Giving up isn't the answer.
