Need someone to hold me accountable every day
I need someone who will keep me on track every day. Someone who will keep me within my calorie allowance every day, someone who I have to answer to for my exercise, and basically just someone to kick my butt into shape. I clearly can't do this on my own. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I should turn?
depends on your age. two people no matter what your age that you can turn to are your friends if you are looking to have lots of fun AND lose weight. if you are VERY serious then i might consider a trainer. hope i helped.
Not want you want to hear but if you cant keep yourself on track each day then you wont lose the weight you want,take control and dont rely solely on others to help you lose the weight you put on.

Im looking to lose 10 pounds in the next six weeks, and am also looking for someone to hold me accountable every day- I was going to start a forum where I put in a nightly report, but I was worried the constant updates would annoy people.
I really think that having to send a nightly check in to other people would do a ton (at least for me) to keep me on track because Im accountable to others. And I totally agree with you that the consistency of doing it every day is important!!
Want to either buddy up with me by doing email reports, or start a forum with me? My goal date is august 10th

I just started this whole thing and have some recommendations which helped me considerably as I thought I was doing everything right but oviously I was not.
There is a tremendosu book you should get as it really explains in simple terms what is happening to our body when we eat - get overweight - and what happens when you loose weight. I use the book as my diet "Bib;e". It is called You on a Diet by Dr Michael Roizen.
Some quick pointers:
1. You should only have 1200mg of salt a day - read all your labels - if you are eating lean quisine and any of those type meals - each will have about 900 mg of salt per meal
2. Walk - like you brush your teeth - 30 minutes a day - thats it fo the next two weeks - you should consider this like brushing your teeth - eating breakfast - combing your hair - walk -
Do you know how to figure your heart rate - if not I can help as you want to get it into a certain range
3. Sodas - they are poison - I was drinking 12 a day of diet - they are terrible for you - drink water -tea
4. Sugars - no juices - garbage - get your sugars from fresh fruits - no other way
5. Use a 1/4 tsp of cinamonn in your oatmeal every moring and it will reduce hunger in the afternoon
6. Always eat - not a diet but a new way of eating

Hi I would also like to join your group. I am trying to lose the last 10 pounds and just can't stay within my calories everyday. I had a baby five months ago and just need to lose the last 10 pounds. I've always worked out and eaten pretty healthy. My goal date is September 1st. I check this everyday and would love to have someone else hold me accountable too. We could do Monday weigh in's or something like that also, just an idea.
