Need something fishy...

Quote  |  Reply
It's just me by my lonesome tonight, and I have a frozen tilapia fillet I was going to make for myself, but I have little experience with fish and no idea what to do with it.  Does anyone have any healthy ways to cook fish?  (Preferably something without a lot of sodium...)  I could probably come up with something, but I just wanted to see what you guys thought.

Cajun or lemon pepper seasoning.

If pan-frying it sounds unappealing to you, you can bake it in the oven.

I cook fish 2+ times a week. I love it. I cook a lot of tilapia.

I bake it, 4 oz piece cooks for 8-10 minutes in the oven.

I season it with fresh lemon and LOTS of pepper. I love it, then I cook some type of vegetable with it and some brown rice. It is delicious.

Bake it on 375 for 10 minutes. Make sure it flakes when you stick a fork in it or it needs to cook longer.

I like mine with salt, cayanne pepper, and a thin layer of marinara sauce. put it under the broiler. 1/2 cup of couscous on the side and that's good eatin'
I broil Salmon so the outside is nice and crispy and in the inside is pink and delicious. I like lemon with all fish.
Put it frozen in your gerge forman type grill. Excellent with a bit of salt and pepper.
Where do you guys get the frozen tilapia etc????? Is it just in your frozen food section??
nycgirl- for me yes it is in the frozen food section with all the seafood. I got mine at Sam's Club since they are individually frozen with plastic covering. But I would say you can get them in any frozen seafood section... or even fresh and then you freeze them. :)
