I need suggestions from the ladies about running
I've decided to start running after I can afford to buy some shoes. I haven't ran since I had to in high school (3 years ago) and the worst part about it was that I, uh, bounce too much. Any suggestions for sports bras? All the ones I've ever tried just seem to squish 'em, they don't really help with the bounce-age.

darn I was reading a fitness magazine from either June or July that had the top 10 best sport bras that were really good and affordable.

Try using a sports bra with an underwire. I have the same problem and the underwire helps a lot. It sounds a little uncomfortable, but it's more comfortable than boucing around alot.
I have used the champion High impact sports bra to good success (and I am a 36DD or DDD) It is a bit squishy to get on, but once it is on, you aren't going ANYWHERE. And, they are about 35, not 70.
I just make sure to buy a really good one, right now I just use an adaidas one. I have D boobs and it really helps with support. Also remember to not cheap out on running shoes...very important. Did you know that runners should replace your running shoes every 6 months?? Haven't got there yet but it's always fun shoe shopping!!!!
yeah i was looking at
this one it's a champion one and I was already planning on shoes, then i realized i need a new sports bra too! man getting in shape is expensive!
you can always wear more than one bra... either a regular underwire under a sports bra, two sports bas, a sport bra with a built in bra tank... lots of options. i normally wear two, i hate to bounce at all, smashed is good for me!
I would go to a running store if there is one near you. Champion are excellent because they are designed by women for women. I am small chested so don't face the same issues with sports bras as my larger tested compatriots; I wear a Sugoi. I love it and it definitely keeps me in place. I would try on different types and do the suggested jumping around. Like shoes, the proper fit is essential to running happy and healthy!
oh check out horny toad gear. It's all clothing pretty much made with built in bra's, plus decent style . I would even wear there shirts to just a bqq or something

i think it is the same one. I can't get the hookie things to actually work though, so I pull it on over my head. the compression piece means some serious squeezing, and I can't get enough tension to hook the stupid thing.
Not sure how you feel about underwire, but I found the best sports bra I've ever owned at Wal-Mart. It's made by Bestform and runs about 10$. The material it's made out of is amazingly well done. It's a soft-feeling, but a really tight (firm) and airy mesh material lined with really soft material on the inside, they say it's fleece in the description. The straps are padded on the shoulders too. Really comfortable, and since I started wearing it, no bounce at all in the gym, and no uniboob :).
Here's the info I got from the Bestform website.

I have a great nike one. If all else fails, buy two cheaper ones and double up; I've done this with WalMart ones, and it actually works surprisingly well.
I have a great one from Victoria's Secret (who knew). I don't bounce around at all in that one, even when I'm sprinting.
i also love the walmart bestform #5006098. i have a week's worth and i have been wearing some of them for 3 years now. i jazzercise (dance aerobics, lots of hopping around) 5x a week and i bought the first one because it had a little sticky tag that said 'no bounce'. i have them in several colors-- orange, lime green, navy and white. now i need to replace them and i can only find white. isn't that how it always goes? the price is great, maybe i'll just dye some different colors. lol i recommend them, especially if you are addicted to underwire bras. some of us like that feeling of extra support. i think other places do have them besides walmart. i'm googling now to find them and that's how i found this website. if anyone finds colors of them, please, let me know...quilt4KSH@aol.com

I run and I have tried every bra out there. My ABSOLUTE favorite is available at www.title9.com - a company for women out of Colorado. The one that I think is best is called "The Frog Bra". I dont' bounce at all - it has more spandex in it than most.
I am not very well endowed, but I hate any bounce when running. This thing rocks! I buy one or two every year. Well worth it! I think they are in the 30-40 dollar range. Definitely haven't found one better.
