I need to vent about Jon & Kate

A) Please stop saying that the fame and media attention you've gotten is unsought.  It's not.  You signed on to do a TV show.  TV is media.  And you continue to do the TV show even after the "horrible" stress of the fame has you so pissed.

B) What you are doing to your kids is child abuse.  They are growing up in front of the entire nation from birth... they literally have never not been on TV.  That's alot of pressure.  Young adults that areon reality TV end up with eating disorders and drug addictions b/c of the stress, so what is going to happen when these kids hit puberty (which is pretty soon for the twins)???

C) When asked if the show would continue Kate replied: "The show MUST go one"  Ummm, wh exactly must the show go on if you are so angry about all of the attention you're receiving because of it.

I'm pretty suer they're completely delusional about their lives.

Well I'm not so sure about the hate America part.  There are stupid television shows in other countries as well, and while I don't watch Jon and Kate, it has to be better than Jerry Springer just by virtue of the fact that the people seem to all be bathed if nothing else.  Personally I hope TLC cancels the show so the parents have to get real jobs and stop exploiting their children.  They should be supporting their children, not the opposite and it's very sad for the children that this tragedy is being played out on national television.  The parents disgust me.

I don't watch the show either.  Actually, thats a lie, i have seen one episode. And made me sick becasue it is TOTAL exploitation.

 OMG - you're probably right. Although I thin I read that she has a reality TV deal for a channel in Sweden or somewhere like that. 

She makes me even more sick than Jon & Kate.  The week her kids were born she said in an interview that her plans to support them was by getting welfare and other government aide, but then with all of the attention she got her new plan was to support them by getting reality tv shows and doing paid interviews.

I think its digusting that you can PLAN to go on welfare.  Welfare is for people to use temporarily while they need it during a rut n their life... until they can get out of it and support themselves.  Octo-mom's kids should all be taken from her.

 I think the point of the "america hating" part was just to imply that it's pretty embarrassing.  Whether or not you care enough to take that embarrassment on board is irrelevant- I mean, kudos to you, but that doesn't mean other people can't be embarrassed about it.

 No it's not child abuse, but you have to admit that it's pretty disgusting to make a living on the backs of your children.  That's my only beef with them.  They've gotten rich by exploiting those beautiful children and now when as these kids grow up, the destruction of their family is out there on video for everyone to see.  Can you imaging how that's going to effect them once they hit puberty?  Parents should be supporting their children, not the other way around. 

I never thought I'd miss media coverage of Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton.

Meh. not disgusting at all. The money probably facilitated them staying together longer because they didn't have the added stress of trying to hold down normal jobs.

The show was innocuous enough until their marriage started to break up. Now everyone's up in arms? Tedious yes, disgusting, no.

Well I'll just have to disagree because I think it's wrong to exploit your kids for money, but that's just me.  Anyway, the really sad part is that the whole mess is captured on film for the world to see.  Doesn't seem like that will be good for the kids.  Oh well, all will be forgotten once Brad and Angelina pop out another kid or Paris Hilton does something stupid or something else happens.  Fame is certainly nothing if not fleeting.

Ah, I guess that's where we differ. I don't see it as exploitation.
