i have been calorie counting for about a week now and i want to meet some new friends to keep me motivated, i am also doing the jillian michaels 30 day shred. i am currently at 154 pounds, 5'6", small frame. i am hoping to get down to 130. is anyone interested in forming a group to keep each other motivated and share thoughts/stories?

I'm here and I will be your buddy if you'll have me as one. I'm a pear shape, and I've lost a total of 59 pounds and 40+inches. I started my life style change on March of last year, hit a plateau for 4 months. Stayed at 180 didn't gain.. Now I have like 22 more pounds to go before I hit my goal weight of 145. My current weight is 167. I'm here if you need me. I'm sure if we work hard, and work through are problems and plateaus we will make it.

 I am always looking for buddies toooo. I'm at 151 (down from 156 earlier this week, woo! ..though probably all just a loss of food in my stomach weight, heehee) and trying to get to 125. I just like support in general so if you need a buddy look me up. :D

awesome! it will be great to have people to talk to about weight loss besides my boyfriend, as much as I love him, its great to have people to know what your going through because their going through it themselves

lol in my experience boyfriends aren't particularly helpful either. it's either, you look fine what are you talking about or you should go exercise more, want a drink?

My boyfriend has been very supportive of my diet now. After going on diet number 1,002 he's has been more supportive. I would always say that I'm going on a diet, and he will say.. Will see. Now after losing 59 pounds, I can't stop him from telling me how small I am, and how he has to get use to it.

I am definitely up for being a weight loss buddy.  I just started last month and have lost 7lbs so far.  i am currently at 139 and want to get down to 120 at least.  I am 5'2" with a small frame.  My husband was skeptical at first and I actually didn't tell him I joined a fitness center to avoid his negative opinion about it being a waste of money and the membership would not be put to use.  I now exercise 3-4days a week for 30mins.  the progress is slow, but I am fine with that.  best of luck with your own weight loss endeavors and drop a line if you ever need to just chat, vent or need advise.

I've been using this site for 2 weeks or so and just bought the 30 Day Shred video, too. The more buddies, the better, otherwise I just give up. So ... anytime, any subject, message away.

I don't know if you want an old lady to chime in or not.  My name is Joy and I'm 31.  I had my third baby in October.  I've been working out at the 'Y' 5-6 days a week since January.  I've been on Calorie Count for about a month.  I've lost about 30 pounds so far and about three sizes.  I still have a really long way to go.  I'm about 240 on my way to 150.  It's coming off slowly, but I think that it will stay off better that way.  I love the way that this site works, because what I eat isn't restricted.  I just make daily decisions to stay within my calorie goals and try to get a B+ evaluation.  It seems really easy this way.  I know that I can always use encouragement.  Maybe we could encourage each other.

Hey, I'm new here!.  Just signed up yesterday.  I got the 30-day shred, and took a break day today.  Tomorrow will be my 5th day on it, and man I am finally starting to feel more strength than weakness.  I am at 164 at 5'5" and am try to reach 135 as a goal, and then from there trying to go to 125 at the lightest (if I can, lol).  I figure that will be a longer term goal to reach.  Anyways, I am up to having buddies on here if you want.  I have read a few different diet books, and when I get done with the 30-day shred and stick with the level 3 I'm going to try to move to Cathe' step videos on and off to alternate.  I wish everyone good luck with their weight loss goals and maintenance!!

Joye76, you are not an old lady-so get that out of your head.. To me since I lost now... 60pounds as of today.. I'm going do a little happy dance.. Two Step.. 30 to me is the new 20. I saw all of 20 at high and low weights.. Now that I'm 30.. I've been getting my dance on losing the weight, and working out hard.. I don't think 30 is old.. It's just the new 20 for me.. When I hit 50 I still will not be old.. I know.. I have an aunt that is 60, and I told her when I turn 30.. Let me do 30, and you can move on to saying you are 40..LOL.. So you are no where near old to me.

I just started on May 2nd and would love some motivation buddies.  So anytime you need a "stick with it" speech or "great job"...send me a message.  Just by counting calories alone and cutting out soda I have lost 3lbs. in 4 days.  OH!  I also just got the Hip Hop Abs workout vidoes today...can't wait to get home and dance.  (Although, I can wait to see the dumb looks my fiance gives me!)  Smile

 Your Fiance will not be laughing at you.. He will be laughing at him. I think my boyfriend said the word GAY a million times when I was doing his workout dance tape.. Then I heard, I can't believe it.. He was LHAO. I still like doing the moves, but every time I get started.. I can hear my boyfriend laughing and calling him gay.. I just wish the DVD didn't cost so much, but really they are cheaper than the VHS. I hope you enjoy it...

can i join?! Im 5 2" just been travelling for the past 6 months and am now settling into life in sydney. Finding it SO hard to get motivated and to eat right. In desperate need of help, and a kick up the ass!

I'm 5'5 148 lbs.  Been counting calories for approximately 6 weeks.  Been at a stand still for a few weeks now.  I'd love to be part of your group!  Smile

I lost 46 lbs at Weight Watchers over a year ago.  I quit smoking after my mother passed away in July 2007.  I gained 20 lbs.  Since I started cc I lost 5 lbs.  Leaving me to lose another 15 lbs!

I take in approxately 1230 to 1400 calories a day and exercise Monday through Friday.  I walk on my treadmill for 2.20 miles (35 minutes).  Lift hand weights and do a yoga DVD. 

So I was just wondering how everyone is doing...

I am down 4 lbs since I started on 5/2...not as much as I would like.  I slacked off on my exercising but I am back on track now.  I've still been counting calories and watching what I have been eating though.  I guess that's why I have lost the inches.  All together I have lost 8.5 inches!  I like that number... Smile

My goal for this next week is to lose 3-4 more pounds...we'll see how it goes!

ltrauernicht- Welcome to CC. Congrats on the lost.. I'm so happy for you, and 4 pounds and 8.5 inches. I feel inches are better than pounds sometimes, but hey... I love pounds too... :)
