Negative thoughts

Quote  |  Reply

I have started on the calorie count yesterday, adding aerobics to it.

But I am having all kinds of negative thoughts. For instance, "you are so fat and ugly, why do you even move, it's disgusting". I keep trying to figure out how I look from the outside, and it's not quite like the girl in the exercise video. Even minus the fat, I still move like a drunken ostrich. :/

I cannot exercise over thirty minutes, it's too hard on me. I know I will be able to do more later, when my body adjusts, but still, when I write it down in the activities list, I look at the 277 calories it says I've burned, and go "this is so little, I will never get anywhere with it". Feel like a failure.

I just started counting calroies too,so I know how you feel, sometimes it feels like it's not even worth bothering with, but I'm sure once you start to lose weight you will feel better about yourself,or maybe try out some other things to help boost your self esteem, from what I can tell in your picture you're attractive and have potential.Even doing little things can make you feel better like a slight change in appearance or a new outfit.

Anyways good luck with your weight loss, don't lose hope.

That's what I really hate about it taking several weeks to see any type of results. It takes too long, because especially in the beginning when it's at it's hardest, you need that extra push of seeing that you're actually doing something and that it's actually helping.

I hope you've stuck it out and feel better towards it now.

Just remember that, just as every little bit of bad food you ate helped put on the weight, every little bit of exercise will help you get it off. It just takes longer, unfortunately.

I have been taught that anything is possible but it takes work. I did not gain 30 extra pounds overnight 5" 5' 174 lbs so it is going to take time to lose the weight. Please don't give up and remember until we love ourselves enough to change things will stay the same. Keep it simple, just one day at a time and you will see the miracles. I promise Laughing

Just push through them. Everyone says "oh just think positive, think positive," but yeah... sometimes that's really hard.

I think one of the hardest parts about exercising/losing weight is dealing with yourself and being motivated to do it. It really does take an attitude adjustment and that's going to be up to you.

Negative thoughts are going to happen but just go with it. Yeah, 277 IS SOMETHING - that's 277 LESS calories that will be made into fat in your body, etc. If you can, try to turn that negative into positive. You already said it yourself - you'll be burning more as you go through the program.

Good luck!
