I've had a really bad cold/flu the past 4 days or so, and this is literally the first time I've gotten out of bed in a few days (my parents were amazing enough to take care of me so I didn't have to do much). I haven't had much of an appetite, and mostly I've been incredibly exhausted and sleeping a lot. Oddly enough, in the past few hours I've had this insane rush of energy to the point where I can barely sit still (bouncing my legs now, though). Any idea what on earth is causing this and how to slow down/stop it? I have tons of make-up work to do, and 2 major tests tomorrow, but I'm having difficulty concentrating on anything. I can't exercise since I still have a stuffy nose, dizziness, and the overall "bleh" feeling, but I'm at a loss for what to do. Please help!

I get that way when getting over a pretty bad illness too. I think its just because you haven't done anything in a few days. I don't have any suggestions as far as how to stop it. Maybe try to exercise??
Considering my past illnesses and the fact that you've been laying in it for a while I take it your room isn't the cleanest thing right now? You could try to tidy up a bit, make your bed, organize your books/magazines/whatever you've been using for entertainment, etc. just make sure your warm and not moving around TOO much. And be sure to let your parents know what your doing, just in case. :)
Ugg- I tried to walk a little bit, but I got really dizzy and had to sit down. Still have tons of energy, which isn't helpful when I'm trying to sleep. Thanks for the suggestions; still looking for any advice you have any! *twitch*
are you taking any cold medicines? I've taken some in the past that have something in them that make me feel anxious & jittery...and I hate that feeling! I usually drink some TheraFlu or take Tylenol PM when I'm sick & want to sleep.
Hope you feel better soon!

put in a movie or something to distract yourself. THEN take nyquil, because that will put you right to sleep. :) Then if you still can't get to sleep then, well, just fidget, a lot. bounce up and down, do bycicle legs, stuff like that. Hope this helps!
Stopped talking all cold medicine, and I stopped being energetic- now I'm just really dizzy. Ugg- I hate being sick.
Thank you!
Thank you!
cold medicine will stay in your system for awhile. You probably have a sensitivity to that medicine you were on. Also not eating while being sick and taking medicine alone will do that to you. Try to put something in your stomach, drink alot of fluids.Being dehydrated would also cause these symptoms. Hope you feel better!!
