This never happens... BUT IT DID!

So I've been getting a little demotivated as my scale has been saying for the past two months that i've gained weight (I went back home for the month of July and didnt weigh myself there).

I didnt feel any fatter and my clothes fit except for some after 10 hour + flight bloating. But I just sucked it up and kept going, but i swear the damn scale just kept reading 61 or 63 kgs and I'm normally 58-59 kg ( 170cm or 5'7 so it's a healthy weight).

Today a gf of mine came over and I was showing her how to use the bodyfat procentage thingy on my scale and she was like WHOA! something is wrong with your scale. She had been for her physical that morning and they weighed her in at 46 kg (she's short) and my scale put her as 50 kg. This has given me so much hope! lol I'm going to buy a new battery to see if that helps. I figure it must have gotten jostled in the move when i took my stuff out of storage when I got back.

I am guessing that it could work getting a new battery.  If not, go to a store and try out several scales and choose the one that you weigh the less on.  My sister for a long time weighed on a scale she kept in her bathroom (which unfortunately has a definite "slant" to the floor)  She had been always weighing with the top of the scale toward the incline.  After cleaning the bathroom one day, she noticed that if she reverse the scale 180°, she actually weighed less.  So she moved the scale to her bedroom (with a level floor) and now when she weighs, she weighs less than when weighing on the incline.  I think with most of our scales, there are little inconsistencies with batteries, positions, shifting of weight, etc.

All scales have their inconsistencies and are a little different from each other. The most important thing is to choose one scale and weigh consistently with that one.. although changing the batteries couldn't hurt!

I put my scale on carpet once and weighed like 50 pounds less - lol

Not in a rude way but, are you trying to lose weight as you look super skinny in your photo!
