no one in my family has a tush, not the fatties not the skinnies, is it possible to build muscle to give my self a rear with certain exercises, despite the fact that i think i am genetically predispositiond  ;to not have one and i know everyone is going to shout lunges, but seriously, do they really work. i am so sick of my backside going strait from back to thighs with no definable rear in between. i also love doing legpresses on the legpress weight machine, and when i do the treadmill i max out the incline and walk (usualy 2.5-3.5 mph) as fast as i can for 30-60 min. will this help?
yes yes yes squats and lunges work amazingly...i have a bubble butt lol and i keep it that way w squats and lunges 3 times a week...i do light weight/high rep so that its more toning than building....3-4 sets of 20....good luck!
I just wanted to share something interesting I learned this past year in my kinesiology class. People with narrow hips/pelvis tend to have larger butts than people with wider pelvises. This is because on a wide pelvis, the muscle tissue has more space to spread out than on a narrow one. African americans tend to have narrow pelvises-hence the booties.
I know that's no help, I just found it super interesting as it explained why I have no butt.
As for exercises, I second the squats and lunges.

Muscles either get bigger or smaller, that is all, they don't change shape/length/etc. Ther e is not difference between toning and building, heavy weights are the best way to tone/build, light weights on a calorie deficit will actually result in the breakdown of muscle tissue which decreasese your muscle tone.
to the OP, squats, lunges and don't forget deadlifts.
In the mean-time...this is a pretty interesting product. I don't need it however...my booty "pops" too much on it's own! :S

agreed. if you don't feel a struggle in the muscles that you're working (in this case, it will mostly be your hamstrings and your gluts), then you should up the weight.
