New and Australian! Wanting to lose 10kgs
Hey peeps,
I'm not neccisarily looking for other Australians, but it might be nice. I'm 23, female, 5foot (154cm) tall and 62kgs. I'm looking to lose about 10kg. I was 52kg about 2 years ago and looked, but more importantly felt fantastic.
I don't really like to count calories, and I have to take things slow. My major hurdles are that I'm disorganised, am an "emotional eater" (I hate that term), love a few drinks on the weekend, and don't exercise enough. Every time I have a major life change (move house, job, get a boyfriend, become single) I put on weight. I've had a lot of changes over the past year or so, hence the 10kg weight gain.
I have been eating healthy for a while, started running this week and organising my life in a few ways so I'm on track!
I'm excitable, silly, fun, a little sarcastic, down to earth, and realistic.
Fellow aussies (and all others) please say hi!
Hey! Welcome! I hope this site helps you become more healthy and lively in your everyday life.. =]
What part of Australia do you live in? I have an Aunt who lives Melbourne..
Take it easy.
Hey! I agree with Claire24246, good change hearing Kg's to pounds, Im always having to find out how to convert things. Im sure if you've had a snoop around this site you would've found lots of people using non-metric. Anyway, Im 23, 163cm (5'4ish) and 66kg and want to lose about 10kgs but would take anthing close to that and am only across the ditch from you. Im a kiwi.
I guess we kind of have the same goals. You should try one of the group challenges, one way to get you motivated. But, talking, sharing ideas and making friends is very good as well in staying motivated. Hope it goes well for you. Can I add you as a friend? I have just started too.

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
- Plot your weight curve
- Analyze the trend of your weight (see under Recent in the figure above)
- Determine the projected target date (see under Overall in the figure above)
