new book out the cardio Free Diet - anyone seen this?
this was on Good Morning America this morning, did anyone read this book or see this interview, I replayed it but it was just a minute and a half. Need info, if you've got it.

I've never heard of it, but it sounds like a book about.. how to lose weight without exercising, which is, i think, possible, except that doctors have uniformly said that you're healthier if you're overweight and fit than if you're normal weight and not fit. So... dunno if it's any good.
I guess the book say weight training is better than cardio to lose weight because musle burns more fat than cardio. But I thought all weight loss programs wanted a little weight training in them, even if it's just your own body weight as resistance.
I don't know much about the weight-loss angle ... but I have read that from a longevity perspective, we would be better off doing more weight-bearing exercises on our upper bodies than cardio exercise. Dr. Sanjay Gupta talks about this.
