New buddy group? Ladies/25-35/20-50 lbs/dont heart exercise...yet!
Haha! So, I joined CC just a few days ago and was fortunate to find myself a great buddy already. I looked at her "I'm New!" post, and we found that we have a lot in common: both new, 30 years old, have 20-30 lbs to lose, and gained the weight in very similar ways. But, most importantly, we are both not big fans of the gym/exercise other than walking, and need a lot of motivation/support to learn to like working out!
Through our emails, we decided that it would be great to form a smaller group of buddies...
As stated in the title, it would be for women ages 25-35 who don't "naturally" love exercise, but want to help each other to change that! Ok, or at least LIKE exercise! The age thing is really not strict. It's just helpful in keeping the group from being too large, as well as to promote group solidarity. The weight to lose is pretty set as is at about 20-50 lbs...
If you are interested, give a shout out on here or my profile. If you know someone who you think may be interested but didn't see this, give them a shout out too! Once there's at least 5 people interested we can think of a "name" and whatnot, and I will go and create us a new group...Hopefully there will be at least a few people interested by next week or so!
Take care!

I am so excited about this group! I know it is just a matter of time before we love going to the gym and working out hahaha!
Ooo... I'm out by 5 years! How about if I feel like I'm still 35? Well, I'm 40 but only trying to lose 25 pounds. I've been looking for others in that situation, rather than the massive weight loss, and decided to check out this post. So, if you decide to include a higher number (in years only!), let me know!
By the way, I don't love exercise, but when I do get to go to the gym, I love the after effect!
Good luck to you!
Count me in! I lost 10 of my 25 to lose but slipped over the past 3 months and have seen half of it come back. My biggest problem is that I just can't seem to get myself motivated like I was the last time. Maybe some women out there could be just what I need to get myself out of this slump>>>
Hey everyone!! It's so good to see excited ladies wanting to form our own little "healthy living club"! FYI, I put up my original post in two forums: one here in the "general weight loss forum", and the other in the "21-50 pounds to lose group". So far it's about 10 of us!
So, my plan of action is as follows:
- I am going to create a new thread and send each of you a link to it tomorrow. This will get everyone interested from both places together.
- Once you get it, make a post saying you there and ready to rock!
- In that post if you have any feelings on group size (like wanting to keep it under a certain number of members) and any names you may think are cute! DON'T BE SHY!! We want everyone within the group to feel comfortable to express their ideas, and encouraged to show their unique, beautiful selves!
- From there, we can get a head count, including the few people I have found that I think may be interested as well as any of you who may have done the same. We can address any of the ideas and feelings that you all may have brought up- which brings us to:
- getting our hot selves a group name, member total and
- A group!! YAY! I will create the group with the name and send you all "Invites".
I imagine that we can have the group up and running with introductions to each other by say Sunday night?
Chat with ya'll tomorrow! Tata! ~ Luxe
Sounds great!!!!!!!!! I don't want to have to turn anyone away, however at the same time if its too big its less personal.... so maybe not too many people will find us lol.
I would also love to be in on the group as well. I am 28 looking to loose about 30 lbs. Not the biggest fan of exercise and have trouble finding the motivation on my own! Looking forward to the group.
