Hi:

I am new and am not sure does it sound right.  I am 5'7 200lbs and 38.  It said 1,650 calorie.  It just seems like alot of food.  Is it right?

What does the burn meter mean?  Where do you go for help on these kind of questions?

Thanks - Ella

Hey Ella,

I am not sure what you are asking exactly....that seems about right.  I calculated and you shoud have about 2000 cals to maintain weight so if you had about 1600 you should be able to lose weight.

Hi Ella,

Is that the number of calories you burn a day or the number of calories it said for you to eat in order to lose weight?  if that's the number of calories you need to lose weight then it may seem like a lot of calories but that number will go down as you lose weight.  You don't have to eat that many, but don't eat less than 1200.

The burn meter shows how many calories you burn in a day.  If you do activities, add those on.

You want to have more calories on your burn meter than your eat meter to lose weight.

sounds right. I have found I lose more when I stay pretty close to the recommended calories. do not sell yourself short, especially if you up your exercise. I am 5' 7" I started at 227 and my calories were 1900. Now I am down to 184 and my calories are 1650, so the site adjusts for you as you lose weight. Good luck on your adventure.
